GoT S8E3 spoilers!

-All of the mormounts are dead. I repeat ALL THE MOMOUNTS ARE DEAD

- I was having so much anxiety thinking Arya was gunna die and BITCH SHE PULLED THROUGH

- Arya killing the Night King has watered my crops, cleared my skin, brought peace on Earth, and I’m sobbing in the club I love her

- I told my dad that there has to be a reason Bran gave Arya the dagger. That Bran does everything for a reason and that it would be something that comes into play later and BITCH!!!! I WAS RIGHT!!!! Bran, that Bastard, fucking KNEW Arya would be the one to kill the Mr. Ice Bitch!

- Arya is Azor Ahai change my mind (the princess who was promised, bitches!)

- Sansa and Tyrion? I love them we stan

- Brienne And Jaime fighting back to back was a religious experience

- I honestly hated Melisandre at first but towards the end I gained some respect for her. She was alive to help Arya, Beric was brought back to help Arya, the Hound is still alive to help Arya. Arya👏🏼 is 👏🏼the 👏🏼princess 👏🏼who 👏🏼was 👏🏼promised!👏🏼

- I literally couldn’t see a god damn thing the scenes were so dark (and full of terrors)

Honestly this episode was really good and I’m sobbing like a baby.

I legit screamed when Arya killed the Night King and I’ve been sobbing since. Idk if you can tell she’s been my favorite character since season 1 episode 1 and I’m so proud of her.

38. What would your character do with a million dollars?

Ah money - the maker and murderer of many. I guess I’ll use Yannic, Berric and Konstantyn (and we’ll just assume this is the 19th century equivalent to having 1 million dollars - or not and they’ve just become the richest mofos).

Yannic getting a million dollars would be an interesting for a whole host of reasons. There’s the fact that nominally, he’s a smuggler because of financial concerns, but the truth is he’s sort of a risk-taker. He could have, after all, abandoned his pride and gone home where he would have lived in luxury comparable to someone with 1M in change to their name but he turned to a life of crime instead.

He’s also very motivated to help people, however. So likely, he would leave the smuggling life (or, leave the actual smuggling bit and become a purveyor of smuggled goods) and integrate into the magic community as a benefactor of sorts.

Bring Dee into consideration, he might try and leave “the life” for a while but it wouldn’t last long and would probably end up as outlined above.

Berric would retire on the spot, return to England, buy the farm his family works and create some sort of exporting empire so his 7 children, wife and parents would never have to till the earth again. He would be very careful though, as he does have 7 children and so has to be practical about money.

The reason he wouldn’t be tempted back like Yannic due to how he became a smuggler - for Berric he left home very young to help cover his grandfather’s debts, and has never been able to get out. This would be the perfect exit for him for sure.

Lastly Konstantyn. Konstantyn could go so many ways. Either he immediately hired mercenaries and invades his brother to regain his Duchy; manages to somehow spend it all through a combination of drunken philanthropy, drunken investing and drunken gambling; some combination of the two or, more likely than you’d think; is convinced to wisely invest it and manages to accrue wealth enough to just buy a new Duchy; start some sort of school for magical children like an in-universe X-academy thing (but is more geared towards giving them any education at all).

Basically Konstantyn is very fiscally responsible...with other people’s money. With his own, he has a long standing inability to resist his own urges. He’s particularly bad about gambling - because I can effortlessly cheat at card games. Of the three, he’s the only one who cannot leave the magical community and thus leave criminality with ease, and he wouldn’t try. However, despite that he’s not as self centered as he was at one point. So really, I guess it depends on when he gets it. Right after losing the Duchy? Drunkness ahoy. A few years later? Army! After - hard to say, just that he’d likely spend it somehow.

At what point does a campaign die?

Real life sometimes gets in the way, a session or two get missed. We’ve seen car trouble, holidays and other-halves’ shift patterns get in the way before, but we’ve always got back together. 

We’ve seen players drop out for one reason or another; first was the original PC party fighter, two years ago now, and then the cleric over the summer, but we’ve carried on. New players have joined over time; we even had to turn away players because we had a full house.

It has been seven weeks since our last game. That’s not long enough to call it dead, but it is by far the longest we have gone. I am worried...

It was October 2012 when Arith’s adventure began. I was a different person back then, a stoic ranger quite unlike Mentathiel, but I have been there by his side since that day. Two of us against the darkness. A fighter joined the next week, Jensen, and we set out.

Over time, we gained a cleric in the form of Gracus, watched Berric die and be reborn, rescued and recruited the warrior Ulric, encountered Mentathiel the rogue, and finally lost Berric when the opportunity came to heal. In recent weeks, we met the monk Jenni, but have not had the chance to get to know her. We also lost Gracus to events beyond our control.

It has been over three years since the adventure started, but so many threads remain unresolved. The Whispering Way have not been stopped, Mentathiel and her sister Kendra have not been reunited, Mentathiel and the demon Jarahmeel have not yet resolved their relationship issues.

The campaign stands at the opening of the final chapter, but it seems to have stalled. I wonder if I could have accepted the story ending before the epilogue had fully resolved those loose secondary plots, but the final chapter? We are close to seeing the final battle, saving or condemning the world, and it’s all gone quiet...

It’s sad to see any roleplaying campaign die, but after three years, I have a lot invested in this.
