That post alpha timeline Bro and Dirk is making me think about Bro Strider is also technically famous but only when it comes to the porn industry. We forget that Bro Strider in the beta timeline is rich, he just CHOOSES to live like that.

Bro strider is known but only in a specific way and his face and name is most likely not public. Dave on the other hand is famous in the alpha timeline and is basically a name brand. That feels very reminiscent to Dave and Dirk as characters to me.

Dave wanting attention and Dirk being avoidant. Sorry I'm thinking too hard, lol.

I have this private headcanon that when Dave was very very young he had major separation anxiety, the way toddlers often do, and would refuse to sleep without Bro. Eventually this got kind of bothersome so Bro made a puppet based on himself that he would give Dave to sleep with like a teddy bear. It's not in the comic because Dave started becoming afraid of it like he is of Lil Cal and hid it away with the excuse that he was too old for dolls.
