Free climber Tommy Caldwell and climbing partner Kevin Jorgeson attempt to scale the impossible 3000ft Dawn Wall of El Capitan.

Thrilling documentary that I found much more interesting than I expected.

What Caldwell is able to achieve is kind of insane. In the best possible way. Even without the earlier events in Kyrgyzstan and his injury, it would be a remarkable achievement.

I was surprised to learn how much preparation went into the climb.

When Jorgeson starts to ruin his fingers, while repeatedly trying to make it through a particular challenging part of the climb, the doc is close to crossing the line towards the negative kind of obsession. But thankfully that's just a brief moment.
