You have labels for how I should feel, act and be. You have boxes within which I must fit to be socially acceptable. You have expectations from me, that I must fulfill, to be considered wise, inspiring and successful. If I don't belong to any of the labels, If I don't fit into any of your boxes, If I don't fulfill your expectations, I am a burden, an embarrassment and a loser, by your social conformity standards. I am unfit to be considered a part of the community I was born in, humanity I belong to, species I am naturally included in. It is all stripped away from me and I am given new labels (still tryin ta label me like your mysoginist daddy's er3ction depends on it), that of a freak, anti-social, weirdo, nutjob or a loser. NO! I refuse to be labelled, boxed and expected from against my consent. I will express my feelings as they are. I will identify myself as I am. I will follow my dreams on my own terms. Wealth, Experience, Looks, Power or Education can earn you initial 'Good Impression' but respect is something you always have to work for to earn. You cannot treat others with disrespect, contempt and disregard and then turn around to demand 'I deserve to be respected!' People may be polite to your face, but that speaks more about their manners. People may greet you kindly, because that is how they are. But that does not guarantee that they will respect you and trust you. Someone said, 'Your branding is what people are saying behind your back!' and it also applies perfectly to respect. If you treat others unkindly, rudely, arrogantly, there is only to a point people will tolerate your inappropriate behavior and then you will be alienated, without even being informed. When you cross certain boundaries, you also ascertain that people walk away from you, maintain their distance and do not induldge you at any point. This happens when they have no respect for you and it happens because you did not respect them and their boundaries. Respect is earned, not demanded. ENROLLED!!! . . . . . 2020 changed a lot of things and we all realized things that are important to us and we do not want to wait for anymore. . I was putting things on hold because I was prioritizing supporting 'friends' who 'have never been heard' and 'never got to fulfil their dreams'. As a friendly recently said in a call, 'People like us are Pathological Rescuers'. . He is right. Empaths, often run to save others while putting ourselves last, only to realize we have been used, manipulated, disposed and lost opportunities because we let ourselves become the least important person in our life. I did that. Time and again. . Losing many loved ones, in personal and professional circle, it hit me hard that there is only one life and one chance to fulfil our dreams, and if I don't put myself first now, when will I? There will always be someone needing support, but do I have to erase my dreams and ambitions to fulfil theirs, again, and again and again? Especially, when they are neither my family, nor have been there when I was down, but appear from the woodworks when they know I can be a good resource for them. NO MORE! For me, one of my dreams has always been studying for the Master's Degree in Psychology but Time, Money, Logistics (and distractions) were complicated with being a full-time entrepreneur and an overtime Pathological Rescuer of the opportunistic users. . Lo and behold, a friend suggested I could do it as Distance Study option and can travel at the end of year to appear for the exam. Exactly what I needed to hear. . So, finally enrolled for Masters Degree in Psychology and I am so grateful and thrilled. . Dream Big, Make It Happen - I may not be any good at long distance relationships but I have done my entire business long distance with clients all across the planet, so here comes Long Distance Study Relationship that I am confident of seeing to it's conclusion. . We have all, without exception, at some point in our lives, done things and lived in a way that isn't natural and authentic to us. UNTIL we got tired of keeping up the appearances or got hurt in a way so damaging that we couldn't even be in each others lives. . In the process we denied ourselves the freedom to truly represent the person inside our heart. We refused truths we wanted and needed to live, to breathe in true celebration of our life. Instead we made the toxic choices that destroy our self-confidence and undermine our self worth. .
