...is anyone doing anything for prom? When is this thing? Who's going? What do?
I've not danced so long and enthusiastically in years. Jazz really gets me in the mood. ...see what I did there?
So a big part of my issues at school is that I'm absolutely terrified to talk to people, especially people that hold some degree of authority, like teachers. Well, today in photography my mom told me I had to go talk to the teacher about my grade. I spent most of the class period trying to work up the nerve to go up there, and when I finally did, what does he do? He immediately begins to hound me about how I need to be able to come up and talk to him myself without my mom being a middleman, and I know that's important, but it was the middle of the classroom and I, of course was on the verge of tears. It was not a fun day.
Today we had our second marching band invitational at Greenwood, and it was the best I've ever performed. The band got 3rd overall and guard got 2nd, which is fantastic The atmosphere was so positive that it was infectious. When we were on the field I felt invincible, and when we marched off, I felt like I was glowing. I haven't stopped smiling all night. I absolutely love guard. It's hard work, but it's so worth it and I'm so devoted to it. I love each and every member, even though we don't all always get along. GRATIA <3
Mom: "Try not to lose weight during ban camp, okay?" Me: [[facepalm]]
