Me, driving the Master Cycle 0 off the biggest cliff I can find just for the satisfaction of jumping off at the last second and watching it despawn when it hits the ground: Link is a chaotic dumbass just like me :))))

Reading the gifticality on today's more, link looked like he was gonna say something. Made me picture him just buzzed outta his mind on caffeine, blurting out that he's gay/bi, triggered by the lgbt foundation on the wheel prompt

I’m so honored that you come to me 😂😊 I adore writing one/both of them coming out. I always feel like Link is holding his breath when that comes up on gifticality. 

“... so go over to LALGBTcenter.org/mythical to join the team!” Rhett says. 

Link looks straight into the camera and takes a deep breath. Maybe it’s the caffeine or maybe he’s just hit a breaking point of some kind, but it’s on the tip of his tongue and there’s only so much he can do to keep it from coming out of his mouth. “Mythical supports the LGBT community and I personally am part of it as a bisexual man. The LA LGBT center does great things and we’d love for you to join us in supporting them,” Link says, all in a rush. 

Rhett turns to give him the biggest smile and you could hear a pin drop in the studio right now. Link’s nerves and the caffeine get the best of him. He starts talking about Rhett and Stevie giving the same number again and maybe he mentions his nipples in the haze. He has this feeling of frantic excitement until they do the breathing exercises. 

At last, someone calls cut and Link lets out a sigh. No one says anything immediately. They go through their usual routine after filming and Rhett and Link finally have a chance to pee. Once they’re back in their office, it isn’t long before Stevie is leaning in the doorway, looking straight at Link and asking, “Do you want to keep it in?”

He could ask her what she’s talking about, but the truth is, he knows. He spares a glance at Rhett and they have a few seconds of silent conversation. Link looks back up at Stevie. Usually he’d ask to see it first, but all he says is, “Yeah, keep it in.” 

That’s all they say about it. Link knows the PR team is prepared for any fallout the day the video is posted, but all Link ends up seeing is overwhelming support. There are theories about he and Rhett, of course, but that isn’t new. He and Rhett decide they might talk about it on an ear biscuit a few weeks from now, but they decide to let it rest for a bit. 

“Why’d you say it in that moment?” Rhett asks when they’re talking about it a few days later. 

“I couldn’t let the mythical beasts believe I was just an ally anymore.”

I got inspired, what’d y’all expect.

Painted Nails

Link had almost forgotten about the memory until he mentioned it in that Good Mythical More. In high school trends where always changing and he often found himself wanting to stand out while fitting in, so he painted his nails white. Black would have been too edgy for a good boy like him. The day he went to school with his nails painted is still sharp in his memory because he was expecting Rhett to say something. He always has some kind of comment. But he didn’t express his opinion on it at all. A couple days later, the polish was all chipped up and bugging Link, so he removed it and never painted his nails again. 

That is, until that night after the memory resurfaced in More and Rhett still didn’t remember. On his way home, he bought some cheap nail polish and before bed, his wife caught him meticulously applying the paint to his fingers. She just gave him a smile and a kiss. 

Rhett is there to pick him up on time the next morning and Link gets in the car with a smile on his face. They’re almost to the office when Rhett interrupts himself in the middle of a sentence to say, “Hey, you painted your nails!”

Link smiles and wiggles his fingers in Rhett’s direction, “Do you like them?”

“The fans are going to go crazy,” Rhett points out. 

“I want to know what you think,” Link says, poking him in the arm. 

Rhett parks the car in silence before turning fully toward Link and gently taking his hand to thoroughly examine his nails. “I think it’s a great look on you,” he finally decides, glancing up at Link before taking one last look at the pink, purple, and blue painted nails.
