Yes, it's Pride month (Yay. Go us.) , however I'm going to rant for a bit.
I'm bisexual and I'm sick of the bullshit. 40 YEARS of bullshit and it just gets worse and worse, especially 'pure Aryan' gays and lesbians.
The worst was when I first came out and wanted to get involved with the local parade committee (or whatever it was), only to be told that Dykes on Bikes didn't want bisexuals to march because we weren't "really part of the community" or words to that effect. To say that I was angry would be an understatement.
I'm sick of seeing/being told that I don't exist (pounds on chest "Yep. Solid. I'm real"). I even wear a bisexual-colours wristlet. I'm kind of 'flying the colours' here. I don't, and will not, hide.
Perhaps it's social media and I'm being exposed to it more than when I came out (pre-computers guys and gals and everything else). Invisible Majority provides an overview of current research on bisexual people and examines the negative outcomes caused by bias, stigma, di
I'm sick of the biphobia, oh wait, I'm often hated for my choice, so it's biHATE.
No I'm not on the the train to Gaytown or Straightsville. I'm not "confused". If I'm in a homosexual relationship, I am still bisexual. Same if I'm in a hetero relationship.
No I do not want a three-way.
If I love you, I will not "leave you for someone of the opposite gender" (or non-gender as the case may be).
I love PEOPLE not parts, and a LOT of posts and such ask "why not call yourself Pan?". Because I'm bisexual, idiot.
I'm serious. Seriously...anyone that wants to talk me down please do so with all speed, because I am done, cooked with a slightly pink centre, and very, very pissed off that the LGBTQ community is still bitching about labels when we should all be facets of a 20-sided die, each equal and holding together as a whole, because there are a LOT of people out there that hate every one of us, no matter what we call ourselves.
