Somehow, I headcanon that before hating Liu Kang, Bi-Han first tried to please him from a young age. He sincerely admired him and wanted to be like him. He also thought it was normal to show the god his gratitude for promising him the great destiny of becoming Grandmaster of the Lin Kuei rather than a mundane life in an ordinary family. More than anything, he wanted Liu Kang to see and admire him in return, to give him the support and praise that his own father had always denied him.

But Liu Kang neglected him just like his father. And Bi-Han, disappointed by the god's terrible indifference towards him, having already suffered throughout his childhood and youth from the abuse of his father who disregarded him, belittled him, and preferred Kuai Liang and Tomáš, gradually came to hate his master and dream of freeing himself from the chains he had placed around his neck.
