Hi ChaosBlue!
I just wanted to let you know that as of this month I've officially listened to every episode of FFM! I love the concept, and you're a fantastic interviewer—you bring so much warmth, thought, and curiosity to each conversation. It's a joy to listen to every episode, even though I'm unfamiliar with most of the fandoms. Thanks for all that you do!
Love, Billie <3
It brings me so much happiness to hear from you, Billie!!! You have been so graciously kind sharing FFM content with others. I see you, and my heart explodes with joy every single time something like that comes across my desk. Thank you so much for reaching out, and for taking the time to share your love and excitement! Beautiful people like you have made this old nomad feel, for the very first time, like I'm part of this big amazing community we call fandom. What a tremendous impact that has had on my life these past few years. You all saved me. THANK YOU!
I love that you've listened to every episode, and enjoyed them even though you aren't familiar with all the fandoms we cover. I, too, am unfamiliar with many of the fandoms people talk about on the show. It's been wonderful to learn about all these different things that people love!
Here is the beautiful thing I've learned: We may feel separate in fandom sometimes, divided by different likes and interests. But the universal experience of love and passion is a language we all share and understand to our core. Love is what connects us, and love is what saves us. There's something magical about hearing fanfiction writers talk about their projects, in their own voices and in their own words. I don't have to know anything about the fandom to understand the passionate resonance of creative love, and I find it so inspiring.
So thank you, Billie! And thank you fanfiction writers everywhere. You matter.
Cheers!
