what if on Taskmaster one of the contestants died in the middle of filming a task but after doing enough of the task for it to be deemed complete so since there was nothing in the rules to say you had to be alive throughout they allowed it. & then all the other contestants bombed so badly that the dead person won the task and in the studio Greg was there like 'wow you all managed to do worse than Christine and she was dead for most of it'
They move in together full time and Ilya notices that Anya acts differently with Shane than she does with him, more quiet and less playful, and he worries that means she doesn’t like Shane or is jealous, so he hires a dog trainer to come over and see if there’s anything they need to do to help
After a while of talking about how Anya acts the trainer says there’s nothing to worry about, Anya likes Shane just fine, it’s just that she sees him as the boss and is acting accordingly
And Ilya is like. But. I’m the one who adopted her? And raised her before Shane got here?? And the trainer is just like yeah well she sees you more like an equal. And Ilya is like WAIT she thinks Shane is in charge of both of us?? And the trainer is just like well do you interact in a way that would make her think that?
Ilya’s life flashes before his eyes as he thinks of all the times Shane has come over with a snack for Ilya and a treat for Anya, or all the times Shane has announced they’re all going for an after dinner walk, or pets Ilya’s hair and tells him he did a good job at practice, or the fact that he uses the same warning tone with Anya when she misbehaves as he does with Ilya when he’s causing problems on purpose
Shane comes home to Ilya with his face in his hands going oh god I’m not Anya’s dad I’m her brother and she thinks we’re both your pets. And Shane just goes. What.

Ilya makes (basically thirst trap) TikToks of a very perplexed Shane wearing face masks, spraying hydrating mists, wearing those pink skincare headbands.
Iyla posts videos of him rubbing lotion in with dumb captions like “#luckiesthusband🥵” and you just hear Shane muttering off camera.
Everytime I cook up some bullshit with whatever ingredients I can find in my kitchen, I feel like a Taskmaster contestant creating a mystery meal for Alex to consume and I am always surprised that the food actually tastes good, just like Alex
I think my favorite thing about the Met Gala is that every year I learn how many celebrities I just don't know even in the slightest. It's the first time I've read or heard their name. The rock I live under is warm and comfy. Nothing will change next year.

And now that you’re here, I don’t think he quite knows what to do with you.”
When wildlife filmmaker Sirius Black arrives on a remote Antarctic island for a year-long assignment, he isn't phased by the freezing wind, the perpetual darkness, or the hostility he meets from some of the biologists at the research base. He is used to living an itinerant existence. He is comfortable with unforgiving conditions. He expects the world to treat him harshly. But he does not expect to fall in love.
This was my second attempt at fanbinding (bound with explicit permission), and my first time making a case-bound book! This story is such a comfort read for me, I love it dearly and find myself constantly going back to it when I crave a slow burn, mature romance. My design inspiration was a combination snowy landscapes, old polar exploration volumes, and of course the typewriter. I wanted it to look like something you might pull from some old university shelves.
A better look at the illustration behind the vellum title sheet, a painting of the lunar corona over the hut during the Terra Nova expedition of Captain R F Scott between 1910-1913. This picture is the closest to what I imagined their base looked like. Unfortunately the vellum sheet wrinkled after I glued in the endpapers, lesson learned!
I also made a fun little "scientific paper" at the end as a nod to the works of the modern scientist crew on Rourke Island!
A lot of firsts for me working with new materials and techniques! BTW I typed the label on the book cover using my typewriter (pictured), had to make Dr Lupin proud.
I’m like w e e e e e p i n g seeing my silly ol’ fic looking like a legit masterpiece oh my gosh!!! This is astonishing! This certainly makes me want to visit redux, too.
