So, I'm Currently Reading a book made by Elvis' Adopted Brother, Billy Stanley and here are some of my favorite sentences :
"I always wanted a little brother!"
"Are you more famous than Mickey Mouse?"
"You're my brother!"
"Elvis, How come you don't go to church?"
"Right way to put a tinsel on a christmas tree"
That's all the pictures i have as I'm reading his biography as of now, here's the book if you're interested
I think I can draw some of the scenes the book describe one day
There's a house on a hill in Memphis, Tennessee, people from around the world come to see. It belonged to a man, some called him a King. He was an amazing man, boy could he sing.
He filled the hearts of millions with joy and love. It was plain to see he was sent from God above. He loved his fans and his fellow man; to touch our souls, that was his plan.
He lived a life filled with hopes and dreams. He was our hero from the movie screens.
One day God called him, took him by the hand. He said, “It's time to go and leave Graceland.”
Elvis asked, “Does this mean that I'm through?”
God said, “Don't worry, my son, they will never forget about you.”
Poem from “The Faith of Elvis” by Billy Stanley.
I love that Vernon would always try to hit the boys when they were doing shit they weren’t supposed to be doing. Then Elvis would hear Vernon cursing and yelling and he’d come out and basically tell him to chill. The boys would be saved. But when Elvis wasn’t around to stop Vernon he’d get them. Lmao.
Anecdote from Billy Stanley about the respect that Elvis had for his fans.
