When do they become children then? If you answer after birth then the only thing that has changed in that circumstance is that they were previously inside of the womb and now they are outside of the womb. Applying that logic consistently would be like saying that convicts were previously people, but now that they are inside of a prison they are no longer people.

If you say a fetus is not a child because the mother does not want it, or because they rely completely on someone else for their survival, then applying that logic consistently you could say that an elderly woman with dementia in a nursing home is no longer a person because she is a burden and relies entirely on other people for her survival, or the same could be said about a veteran who was a quad amputee, he is a burden and relies entirely on other people for his survival so therefore he is no longer a person.

If someone becomes a person only when they are not in a specific place, then the reverse must follow and someone is *no longer* a person because they are in a specific place. If someone is not a person until they are wanted or completely independent then a) that completely dehumanizes so many people who will never be independent or feel wanted, and b) those who *are no longer* independent or wanted are no longer people.

Think through the logic of your statements. The only logical and scientificly accurate place for life to begin is at conception, and either all humans are people, or else you can justify saying that any particular group of humans are not people, like the Nazis did.
