O. bimaculoides, also known as California Two-Spot or Bimac for short, is one of the most popular species to keep as pets due to their friendly personality.
Caribbean Two-Spot Octopus (Octopus filosis) -
At its normal color, the O. filosis greatly resembles the common octopus. The main difference is the ocellus, or false eye marking under the eyes. When the octopus changes color, a normally pale ring flashes a vivid blue. It can also change color to a beautiful array of vivid patterns and hues, as well as change is size and texture of skin.
These little guys prefer the tropical waters of Haiti, Caribbean, Bahamas and Florida. They are quite common and harmless. Locally they are known for being quite friendly, and are relatively unafraid of human contact. (This does not mean that you should bother them!!)
Plus cute af.
