After bino class we do obs drills. This helps tremendously in picking up trace, calling wind and self spotting no matter the glass…..can you spot the one naked eye item here? Probably have to screen shot to zoom better but it’s there. B I N O S - Binoculars have long been considered a great item to have with you if spend a significant time in the outdoors. It doesn’t matter what your chosen outdoor activity is binos are extremely helpful in magnifying objects to allow for better identification from a distance. Even in law enforcement, we use binos regularly to aid in observing a myriad of situations. Yet, with so many variations of binos it can be a challenge to decipher through the options. Like with any other piece of equipment, it is sound to determine what you’ll use it for and in what environment. From there you can begin to pair down the options based on quality of build, weight, ruggedness in design (rubber coatings), magnification and objective lens diameter, waterproofing and much more. My constant piece of gear for any recce class I do no matter if the rifles or spotting scopes change this doesn’t. The Fury Binos/Laser Range Finder from @vortexoptics . Heavy, yes, but the ability to have only one item vs. two makes it worth it. I routinely hit 600 yd B/C steel standing offhand and the bino portion is as good as any 10x bino I’ve used.
