Equius' lusus species was described as having "H-word Biology" (it's a slur so I'm trying to avoid using it, the more appropriate word is cosexual). When this was pointed out and someone asked how it affected Equius' puberty, Jerann said that Aurthour's a male of his species and all the female pheromones are in the udder. Apart from the fact that Equius constantly drinks the milk, and apart from the fact that a pheromone is by definition a scent molecule released into the air so it doesn't matter where it's from, THEN HE'S NOT A FUCKING H-WORD, IS HE?! Hell, cisgender perisex HUMAN males can lactate with sufficient pumping!

So, a belief I see that pops up among a lot of New Agers, is that life and health are the default state of being, and death/decay are aberrational and unnatural.

Believing this requires such a gross amount of ignorance. The thing is, death/decay aren't the byproduct of a fallen or degenerated existence; they're an integral part of the cycle of life. Lifespans are hardcoded into organisms' DNA, and are heavily influenced by the organism's environment and lifestyle. When organisms die, they provide nutrients for other organisms so they can grow and thrive. Like, for example, growing organic produce is very dependent on a lot of things decaying so your plants can have actual nutrients to absorb. That's why people make compost piles. Death and decay is a feature, not a bug. The way these New Agers talk about becoming crystalline and living in a world where there is no death and decay... it almost makes me wonder if some primal part of their brain wants to go back in time before life evolved and just be mindless rocks or something, lol.

Was reminded of something from back in high school just now:

So it was Biology class and we were going over food webs. I asked the teacher where decomposers like fungi fit in, and what kind of nutrients would they have?

This woman looks me in the eye and says that, since fungi aren't part of the food web, mushrooms have no nutritional value whatsoever. I already had suspected she was a sadistic authoritarian idiot in grandma costume, but that cemented it for me.

Oh and a year later she got forced to retire early because she blocked a kid from leaving to use the bathroom during class, kid ended up with food poisoning shits in their pants in the classroom.

So yeah fuck that bitch.

That bridge is not too narrow for a scorpion they can grip the sides of objects and climb walls you get out there scorpion and... wait you shouldn't even be in pursuit anynore getting you tail frozen should have killed you exothermic ass. Do these people just not know how to animal? I understand these are monsters but I'm going to assune they have similar traits to the animal they are based on. I mean I can kind of forgive the ice thing if it didn't have the exothermic traits of a non-grimm scorpion but I would expect it to have all the advantagious traits of one. Such as wall crawling.

I hate the worldbuilding on the Jerann blog because they seem to be going out of their way to confirm only the most boring possible interpretations of Alternia (pry hemo-hair from my cold dead hands, fucker) but the gender thing is especially annoying me because if trolls are sexless until puberty and can just pheromone themselves into their perfect bodies then that's really not a good representation of what being trans is like unless you at least feature some who didn't figure it out until AFTER puberty and still have some prior-sex characteristics, which they clearly didn't do. (No, Pesterquest Vriska having a flat chest is not evidence of this, BECAUSE SHE'S TWELVE IN THAT PICTURE.) Also, wouldn't that mean that technically all trolls are trans, since they were Assigned Nothing At Birth, thus rendering its use as "representation" meaningless? If they were leaning into the xeno I'd appreciate it more, but they're going out of their way to make the trolls into boring grey humans in every other way.
