How to memorize lines
Whether you’re in theater or anything else that requires acting, you know that memorizing your lines is fundamental to a good performance. After all, how can you focus on playing your character if you’re worrying about what your next line is? I’ve taken theater for 4 years now and I have some solid tips that can help.
Highlight your lines. Pick one color for your words and another for your actions . You should do this as soon as you get your script.
Enter your lines into the Script Rehearser app. If your script is in PDF format you can simply upload the file. If not you will need to physically type in your lines. I personally only enter my cues and lines instead of entire scenes to save time. You can then set your character and play through the script which will automatically pause at each of your lines. This is great for running lines by yourself and I credit it as the number one reason I am always the first to have memorized their lines (which also gets me better roles)
Write out any monologues. Write each one until you no longer need to look at the script. For me this is usually 3 times. After each time, speak the monologue out loud for maximum retention.
Practice your lines out loud. It won't matter if your lines are memorized if you get on stage and speak so quiet no one can hear you.* Run your lines with a friend. Ask for feedback on voice, tone, andl ine deliverance as well as your overall attitude with your character. This feedback can be vital in helping you truly become your character and put on a stellar performance.
I hope these tips helped you guys and good luck on becoming your best actor! Never underestimate the importance of line memorization! Whether you perform live on a stage or film on a set, your director and fellow actors will undoubtedly appreciate the work you put in and you can focus all you energy into becoming your character. If you have any other tips feeel free to comment them!

Did this a while back with Crayola markers so it looks absolutely awful, but the message is still nice. Maybe sometime I’ll redo it with my new brush pens so I can blend the colors better. Layout idea goes to Pinterest.

Guess what? My church got rededicated!!! They did major renovationsb and installed a new altar, so the Bishop came to dedicate it! I’ve never seen a dedication Mass before so it was really special! The funny thing is that this is a small town so many of the people have only even seen the Bishop of the diocese once or twice. But I used to go to church at the Cathedral (where the bishop resides), so I served Mass for him all the time lol!
The little placard was a little card everyone got so I taped mine, albeit messily, in my bujo.

Weekly Overview January 8-14
Materials: Tombow Dual Brush Pens, Paper Mate Flair Pens, Sharpie Pen.
Basically I took my overview from last week and modified it to better suit my needs. For example, I widened the daily boxes bc I think it looks better and separated my school assignments by day. I don’t like how much space they take up but there’s still room for a notes or ideas area up in the top right corner.
Still practicing my brush lettering, just a reminder I’ve only been doing it since Christmas so bear with me even though it’s gonna look atrocious for awhile still!
