So Us Weekly, TLC go and the Duggar family web page all say that Grace was 7 lbs 11 oz but John and Abbie’s ig says 7 lbs 15 oz 🤔 I guess Abbie has new mom brain? Or they sent the info wrong? The data obsessed me wants to know the truth lol

Where did you see that? Looks like they said 7 + 11 on their Instagram. Maybe they edited it? Weird.

Just wondering, why do you exclude Erin's due date information but keep her birth weights? They would also affect the average by being preemie and therefore much smaller than her siblings' kids, wouldn't they?

Wow, this is a really good point! Would you believe it if I said... Honestly, I didn’t even think about it? Y’all are right, though. The Paine Children are smaller (at birth), as a result of Erin’s extremely early deliveries. There’s no way that that doesn’t affect their size. So, now that I think about it, I agree that it’s appropriate to exclude their Birthweight & Length data from the Overall Bates data.

Obviously, we need a “rule” for this. Here’s the rule: If a baby is born at or after 37 Weeks (“early term”), their Birthweight / Length will count in the Overall Duggar or Bates Average. If not, it won’t. Thus far, only Erin + Chad’s children have been born prior to 37 Weeks, so all others are included. Applying this new rule, here’s the ‘typical’ GrandBates’s Weight / Length, at birth—

Weight 6 Pounds, 12 Oz.

Length 19 Inches

Hey there! In your post about Grace's birth, you say that the "typical" birth weight for Duggar grandkids shifted from 8 pounds 8 ounces to 8 pounds 1 ounce, then say that this is a change of -1 ounce. Is there a typo in there somewhere? Thank you for all the work you put into Duggar Data - I enjoy reading it!

Correction re: Birthweight Data Post–Gracie

Yes, there is. Post–Gracie, the typical GrandDuggar weighs 8 Pounds, 7 Ounces, at birth. (Pre–Gracie, it was 8 Pounds, 8 Ounces.) She shifted the data by –1 Ounce.

Re: the 2nd generation birth weights, Jeremiah and Jedediah were 5 pounds 9 ounces and 5 pounds 13 ounces, respectively. In the "19 kids and counting - Duggars: All you wanted to know 3/3" on youtube, you see a picture of them as newborns with their weights, at 2:05.
