Just wondering, why do you exclude Erin's due date information but keep her birth weights? They would also affect the average by being preemie and therefore much smaller than her siblings' kids, wouldn't they?
Wow, this is a really good point! Would you believe it if I said... Honestly, I didn’t even think about it? Y’all are right, though. The Paine Children are smaller (at birth), as a result of Erin’s extremely early deliveries. There’s no way that that doesn’t affect their size. So, now that I think about it, I agree that it’s appropriate to exclude their Birthweight & Length data from the Overall Bates data.
Obviously, we need a “rule” for this. Here’s the rule: If a baby is born at or after 37 Weeks (“early term”), their Birthweight / Length will count in the Overall Duggar or Bates Average. If not, it won’t. Thus far, only Erin + Chad’s children have been born prior to 37 Weeks, so all others are included.
