It better not be through Satoshi using super Water Shuriken, Lizardon tanking it and Satoshi passing out thus Alan is victor by default. Even if Satoshi did win the league, it wouldn’t feel fair when most of it was skipped and treated as a formality for Satoshi, fights were one-shotted / easily gotten by special snowflake frog, and his only “wall” to the final two was a, still, very new trainer from Hoenn with a mega evolution as his ace (because synchro > mega evolution apparently).

i know i’m not good enough to have been rejected for being an overachiever

i get to be the only person in my entire extended friend group who doesn’t go to college because i decided to play video games instead of studying for calculus because there is no fucking way i’m being accepted into literally any school with a D

i’m already completely fucked up from not being treated as a human being for the last month because absolutely no one else has talked to me and this means another two years, possibly three, with it, with no friends and no chance of independence or actually advancing my career in any capacity

and honestly? i’m just so fucking tired of this

i’m so fucking exhausted at having nothing in life to look forward to, to the point that sleeping all day is literally a more attractive option than anything else in my life - not depression or anything, literally just a better decision for myself than anything else, because getting out of bed means being screamed at by my mother for a straight hour, a chance to make my chemistry teacher hate me, my engineering teacher to think girls don’t belong in engineering, make my calc grade drop another letter grade because i can’t get above 60% on any test or quiz, give my lit teacher another reason to think i’m pretentious, give my econ teacher another reason to hate liberals, make any kids in the library uncomfortable because i walk in so quickly to try and get the table in the back to myself, and finally make any kids in my bio class hate me because i actually know what’s going on in the labs because i’m done electrophoresis before but am too socially inadequate to actually phrase it as anything aside from “no that’s wrong, you, uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, *sniff* load the buffer first”

but at this rate who gives a flying fuck all the other honors kids define themselves by their class rank number but i define myself as the single worst piece of actual literal shit in the entire fucking school and, of the two, at least your class rank gets you somewhere aside from stinking up the room

Unpopular Opinion Time: Crystal ‘healing’ and crystal ‘magic’ can’t be separated. They are one in the same practice. Think about it: you are using a natural object of some kind, combined with human intent or focus, to elicit a real-world reaction. That’s magic, in every traditional sense. Now does that make ‘crystal healing’ fake? Of course not! Many, MANY people around the world practice various forms of magic, with positive results. But claiming that it’s ‘Quantum Physics’, or ‘Vibrational-Energy’ or anything else....is quite literally renaming ‘magic’ as something else.

Except Quantum Physics. For gods sake actually go and look up what that is, without some new-age woga twist to it. You can’t just throw ‘blahblahblahQUANTUMPHYSICS’ at the end of any spiritual practice and make it scientific and respectable, because it doesn’t NEED outside verification to be scientific and respectable, and scientists will just laugh up their sleeves at you anyway because-

Anyway, I say this because, upon just GOOGLING the word ‘Moldavite’, I got the three worst offenders for shitty mineral magic/healing: Crystal Vaults, Healing-Crystals, and this website called MoldaviteMan.

And are they shitty because they believe in crystal magic/crystal healing? NO. Spirituality is not anyone’s to police, if it does no harm 

They’re shitty because all three contain bad science, bad history, and VERY bad suggestions for use. 

But instead of going on about the negative, I’ll do like the last post and present some historical and cultural information, with my final, supported suggestions for use at the end. 

Moldavite: (capitalization will be used for both formal names and to draw attention to important details)

-Moldavite, according to most modern science (though it’s still debated) is a type of ‘Tektite’, or a substance that forms when a meteorite crashes into the earths crust, superheating the surrounding area and possibly depositing new elements. However, Moldavite has been chemically analyzed, and it’s made of the same boring shit as the rest of us: Silicon and Aluminum with Oxygen bonds.

Modern science cannot entirely agree on the origins of Moldavite, but the most common theory (supported by isotope similarities to other confirmed Tektites) right now is that it formed when a meteor crashed into the earths crust almost 15 million years ago in Germany, sending up splashes of molten rock into the atmosphere. Those splashes landed and hardened in the surrounding countries, forming the crystal-like Moldavite(s) that we find today. The inclusion of Aluminum gives Moldavite it’s characteristic bottle-green color.

-Moldavite is separated into ‘regular’ (shitty) grade crystal that just comes in a dark lump, and ‘fanned’ or ‘museum’ grade crystal that forms those characteristic fingers of crystal in a layered pattern.

There is very little history available on Moldavite that hasn’t been polluted with new age pseudo-history.

The idea that the ‘Holy Grail’ had a piece of Moldavite came from an accident, in which a piece of loot from the Crusades, an ‘Emerald Goblet’ that had hype built up around it as a grail-type miracle, was dropped and discovered to be glass. So if we actually read the history there, there’s really no connection to Moldavite at all except that Moldavite is also sort of glass. And the grail doesn’t exist anyway (physically). It’s a damn legend, not a textbook. 

-However, I can verify that Moldavite is the only tektite class of mineral that can be considered gem quality (aka. it can be faceted) 

-An interesting tidbit: Scientists are begging that people not dig for Moldavite, and instead wait for a heavy rain and then bright sunshine to go looking, because the giant pits and foot traffic was causing heavy damage to the wild countryside. 

So to conclude....

Moldavite is a ‘tektite’, or a stone that forms in the earths crust when a meteor impact heats the surrounding dirt and rock SO hot it melts and rearranges into a crystalline pattern.  

It is the only mineral of its kind that can be faceted, meaning that it can be cut like a gemstone to be clear and sparkling. 

The human search for Moldavite has caused such environmental damage that  the countries containing it have issued legal punishments for unlawful collecting. BUT you can search for it by using sunshine and rain.

The three common themes here are: a heavy connection to the natural world, violent or radical change, and clarity of vision in some way, so...

I believe that Moldavite could be used best as a stone for shapeshifting.

That isn’t really mentioned anywhere is the crystalwoo sources, but everything ABOUT Moldavite supports it. Moldavite came into being during radical, violent change, is deeply connected to environmental concerns (just as we witches should be), and can be altered from its natural state to produce clarity and light. Not to mention the deep, dark green color so close to the trees and grasses. 

And no, not p-shifting. I mean the spiritual type of shapeshifting used for spirit flight, Otherworld wanderings, etc. 

I would like to try binding a cheap piece of Moldavite onto wire, and wearing it like a circlet when exploring altered states of consciousness. Just for interests sake.

Someone is going to need to explain how the Trevannt episode glorifed Ash? Like im honestly curious here, I was under the impression that it was just a training episode and a bonding experience for Hawlucha and Froakie? Was he show in a particular impressive light when his Pokemon's bickering caused him to stop the battle with Clemont? Don't forget Ash was kidnapped for a decent chunk of the episode, man they sure glorified him there. Was it that scene where he protected his Pokemon? Something he does frequently in every other series? Was it the fact that Ash battled TR by himself? Well fine but the entire point of the episode was Hawlucha and Froakie learning teamwork and the "Super Flying Cut" and that's where the focus stayed.

Glorification is when Ash take center stage in episodes that general don't focus on him much and inappropriately hijacks the focus, NOT when episodes focus on him from the very start and the issue is something related to him

I swear to god that terms has been amused so much that it's lost all it's meaning and it no longer used in the correct context anymore.
