It a bit of uncharacteristic-me news, I managed to go in and cancel a gym membership I’d stopped using. I even made it through their attempt to resell it to me. I remained calm throughout the entire process, without panic attack and without tears.

Unbelievable.

2017 - Movies

I had a goal to watch 12 movies this year (that I have not seen before); I managed to get 16 in. They’re presented in the order I watched them below:

Spy

My thoughts:

My top three of the 16 (1 through 3) are Wonder Woman (I had high expectations, and they were exceeded), Thor: Ragnarok (which looked cool from the trailer, and holy heck! What a blast!), and What We Do In the Shadows (which I may have missed altogether if not for Tumblr, so thank you anyone who ever referenced it).

My bottom three (13 through 16) were John Wick II (enjoyable, but with less heart), King Arthur: Legend of the Sword (I stared with mouth gaping open, I laughed, I shook my head, all of it in disbelief), and Spy (which was fun, if not within my comedy wheelhouse... I enjoyed Ghostbusters much more).

My three most surprising films were Velvet Goldmine (how did I miss this masterpiece of sound and vision???), Power Rangers (which I almost boycotted the way I boycotted Jem for fear of ruination, and which wound up being a much better film than I anticipated), and The LEGO Batman Movie (which is not something, oddly enough, I would pursue, but it was on and I watched it and it was very enjoyable).

I should also mention 

From best to ... least best(?), I did enjoy all 16 films. #easytoplease

GotG2 was awesome, and I am glad I broke down and saw it...  and I was also not prepared. Still not. #allthefeels

Appreciated Kimura Takuya in Blade of the Immortal. That was a crazy fun movie! #kimutakubadass

Two Wonder Woman movies this year. I’m not complaining. ##wwforlife

Two of these were Simon Pegg-involved movies I hadn’t seen... and there are still more out there! #peggstercatchingup

I think I’ll stick with 12 again for 2018, just because time never seems to be on my side.

Idea: Hello there! *bats eyelashes* *flirts*

Me: ... Hey *shy* *sleepy smile*

Brain: OH HAI! UR AWAKE! GUD!

Me: Huh?

Idea: -So let's chat later, okay? *winks* *leaves*

Me: Wait, don't-

Brain: SO ABOUT THAT THING AT WORK YESTERDAY-

Me: *bolts awake* Hold on! Where did she go?

Brain: WUT? WHO?

Me: That shiny idea.

Brain: WUT IDEA?

Me: Don't play games! She was just here!

Brain: O RLY?

Brain: WHAT DID SHE LOOK LIKE?

Me: She...

Me: ... shiny?

Brain: LOL, LIKELY.

Me: ... but-

Brain: OH GREAT, 30 MINUTES BEFORE YOUR ALARM, WE HAVE TIME TO TALK. THAT THING AT WORK YESTERDAY YEAH? BLA BLA BLA...

Me: *Looks down at phone number idea wrote on my hand*

Me: * Sees it is lyrics to /Who Let The Dogs Out/*

Piano Music: *Sad*
