Something must be said about Korean BL fans organising huge donations for a variety of institutions to celebrate the birthday of a dear character. This is an incredible way to be helpful in the real world while also enjoying the media for its entertainment purposes.

ChillChill initially emerged as an indexing and community site but later became a portal with news and interviews surrounding BL media. It is now the main reference point for the genre in Japan.

Since 2009, they have been hosting the annual BL Award. This year, Saezuru volume 9 is in its contest for Best BLCD, with votes closing next Sunday (08/02). Please support Sensei and other works you appreciate by leaving your vote there. It's great, especially for visibility and recognition of new authors. :)

Aside from people who intentionally and actively don't think about or better to say don't take their actions and ignorance seriously it ALWAYS pisses me off when I see how people who consume BL media get attacked just because God forbids men become objectified or like in the video mentions their bodies get borrowed for women's fantasies or journey of self discoveries when it's almost always normal and socially acceptable when men use women for their fantasies. Like always let the women like something to suddenly everything become about morality and how disguand idiot women are for liking that.

Like it did always annoy me a lot when I see people attack bl media especially Asian bl media for not being a good representation because it's too toxic and heteronormative but at the same time they call this homophobic which I can't say at times it isn't but they also call it homophobic when the story is just a normal happy slice of life...they say stories should be about real life hardship queer people faces which is fair and logical and still attack because it's not relatable to their complete experience and say it should be just about normal people in love so it doesn't alienate it form all the loves in the world...

First of all why the fuck it's so normal for heterosexual relationships to have power dynamics but when it happens to men in stories suddenly it's all toxic, homophobic and people who make and consume it are freaking idiots...

That's why I love this video it perfectly explains everything about how both sides are important and should be considered and neither side should be attacked. Like yes gay/queer men should not be at disadvantage because of the issues heterosexual people have within themselves but at the same time attaking women (I'm talking about people who are just normally consume what they likeand not hurting other people with it) is also so freaking fucked let's not act like gay/queer men can not be misogynists
