Listening to people hate on specific pieces of media and fanworks for being cringy. It’s one thing to critique them between friends a bit if one of your personality traits is making hate posts about some anime or ship you don’t like or some webcomic, or whatever? Like that’s such a waste of time. Do anything else. Focus on the stuff you like, analyze media that makes you feel conflicted or weird, don’t base your world around something you can’t stand. That’s so stupid.

The whole y/n trend was hilarious for like five minutes and now it’s just getting more and more dumbed down to the point where you could compare it to any set of characters. It’s like yeah, people fantasize about characters being protective. Welcome to fandom. We’ve all read (and enjoyed) some cringe ass nay nay baby bullshit of a fic with our faves even if some people don’t want to admit it. Like bfr
