Black Blight - Necromancer

Imagine a world where the sonic sensibilities of the Baroque music period meets up with the ambient, trance-like qualities of today’s electronic music... and that’s where I think Knoxville, TN’s Black Blight resides.

I’ve spoken of their epic coolness on this blog before but this track from their latest album, Pale Watcher, is so fantastic and so I felt compelled to mention this creative collective once more.

Everything that I’ve heard by Black Blight is absolutely stunning; endless waves of dark, moody ambient sounds, hovering somewhere between medieval mysticism and electronic droning. Alice Roehl, Donald Gill, and Greg Shurina are making black magic music in Knoxville, Tennessee, and it is well worth a late-night listening session - preferably with lights off and mind open.
