Pet peeve i have when it comes to poc!Percy reasonings is pointing out her profiling and criminalization makes more sense if she experiences racism but not how her actual character reflects her nonwhite-coding.Quit stopping at her facing racialized discrimination and mention her feeling most comfortable when she's surrounded by and has personal connections to minorities and her DIScomfort when around powerful and privileged people and how her personality reads like someone raised in a nonwhite household and neighbourhood too👎🏼I'd rather she just be a white boy who's a genuinely a good ally if your 'Percy of color' is gonna sacrifice everything defining Percy's character
Also fun fact about me is i get assumed to be a huge fan of The Little Mermaid/Princess Ariel because Percy Jackson's my top blorbo ever and he(or rather she to me)is commonly headcanoned as a Tlm/Ariel stan.I moderately liked it when i was little then started regularly Pjoblogging and got sick of the overexposure of Tlm in Pjo fan content,especially since i never agreed with the hc Percy fw's heavily to begin with,and now after that and realizing my tgirl Percy theory wasn't just wishful thinking and has evidence in canon combined with all those ooc transmisogynistic 'man pretending to be a woman' as comedy jokes done to Percy based on her alleged parallels to Ariel,i get a visceral reaction every time i see something Tlm related except if it's Halle Bailey's version.Mb og💀
I get why Percy's drawn with green hair sometimes but at same time i absolutely don't.Sea green yeah yeah but also she's literally blue.Why would she dye her hair anything except blue😭You could say the mermaid color argument but blue's one too so it's still baffling.Saying this in genuine confusion and not meant rudely btw
