Monday pt 3 🚲
It so doesn’t feel like Friday to me!? I’d rather have it be Friday and not feel like it than the other way around, though!
Dinner last night was another new recipe for our household! Wednesday I took some ground beef out of the freezer to defrost overnight since I was planning to make enchilada bowls not realizing until I went to start making dinner that the recipe called for chicken and not beef. Whoops. So instead I made “Easy 30-Minute Zucchini Pizza Boats” even though I originally scrapped this as a meal idea for the week. Look at how flexible I’m being!!
The dinner was just meh. I liked the toppings but the zucchini didn’t add anything to it and the zucchini was leaking water and sauce everywhere. I truly expected to gain weight today due to the ground beef consumption Usually when I eat it I gain weight the next day so I tried to counteract it by going on a 5-mile walk (even though my neighbor postponed our Thursday walk) and then following that up with bench press. Glad to see my efforts paid off!
Today was another work event so it was a blazer day! Thanks to my efforts last weekend trying on old (smaller) clothes I learned that the blue slacks that pair with the blue blazer previously mentioned, actually fit!! And they’re SUPER comfy yet professional looking. Success!! Although, the blush shirt I bought with the suit back in spring 2016 doesn’t fit over my hips yet so I had to compromise by wearing this white shirt. Pretty dang exciting to be able to fit into clothes that fit me a few months before my wedding which is my smallest weight in recent record!!
After almost two long years of weight loss “effort” it feels weird that it’s actually working right now. I know a stall is right around the corner, as it always is, but I hope it waits until after I can record 199!
