Being Shuhei Hisagi’s partner would include…

Poor poor Shuhei. He’s not one of my faves but I like the vibe he gives (tattoo, kinda goofy, the whole Fender and motorbike vibe in the sequel books). But for my Shuhei girls, enjoy! Also enjoy the silly bonus

LOADS OF BLUSHING! Like at the slightest thing he’ll blush. Shuhei will get better the longer you guys are together but at the beginning it would be disastrous levels of blushing.

Shuhei isn’t the best at flirting so don’t expect witty comments that’ll make you swoon. He’ll fumble it despite his normally cool and collected demeanour. But it’s very very endearing!

Shuhei loves going out to bars or drinking with Rangiku, Izuru and you. Doesn’t go all out with drinking but will get grabby when he’s had a few. Expect him to curl up behind you and kiss your shoulder/neck consistently while swaying you both to the music.

Other dates he’d absolutely love doing with you- ones where you do something separately but in close proximity (e.g. you’re reading and he’s going through potential articles for the next Seireitei bulletin). I feel like he’s also a bowling/mini golf date guy! And of course- long motorbike drives ending in a picnic.

In terms of pet names, part of me wants to say his go to ones would be “baby”, “babe” and (when you’re both alone) “precious”.

I feel like, as he writes for the bulletin and plays guitar, he’d probably enjoy a partner who has similar interests! So maybe you play the piano or write stories or something! He just wants you as involved in his life as he can get you to be.

Shuhei gives me the vibe he can cook but just barely. He’s not gonna be able to cook you and himself a full 3 course meal. But one thing he can cook really well? Soup. The soups he makes are SO good. And you know every time you’re sick, he’s beside you like glue, practically feeding you the homemade chicken soup (or veggie if you don’t fuck with chicken). The kinda soup that’s simmered for a while. Chunky but all the elements are soft enough for you to eat easily.

BONUS:

This is silly- So imagine this. You’ve been dating a while, he’s thinking of proposing. He does the whole asking your dad/older brother/other important figure in your life if he has their blessing. Once he gets that, he’s talking about it with Kensei, saying about how he hopes you say yes. Then he panics and says “Shit I forgot to ask! Captain Muguruma, can I have your blessing to marry (Y/N)?” Kensei just looks at him like “wtf dude” Kensei obviously says yes but doesn’t understand why he’d need to ask that.

I got so much cool stuff! Picture 7 is all free stuff from hazbin fans passing out merch! Mostly when passing through lines or quickly in the main hall so I couldn’t get their tags, otherwise I’d link them. I might actually be the worst when it comes to getting people’s accounts

The last picture was all stuff I got from the Hazbin Sing Along panel. It was this amazing fan run panel where cosplayers went on stage and acted out the songs! It was so much fun and might actually be my favorite thing at the whole convention!! PLUS! The voices of Chaz and Zahc as well as Sallie May were surprised unplanned guests on stage which is super cool! My throat hurt all day Sunday and Monday from how loud and obnoxious I was singing during the show. It was such a blast! The cosplayers also did a jeopardy panel as the characters and they’re all so funny!

“what is a heart?”

such a question rang through the ears of hisagi shuhei as he set his sights upon a girl. her face held nothing of the human expressions, simply a blank canvas ready to be painted.

shuhei shifts his attention to solely focus on you and you alone. there he could read nothing portrayed on your face. neither a single speck of emotion nor a single movement in your facial muscles except for the blinking of your eyes.

you're just a single, nihilistic soul.

it makes the hisagi furrow his eyebrows at your odd question. surely you know what a heart is, right? well at least, scientifically, you do. but to understand them? it seems way too out of your league. it's as if you're just an empty doll, sitting on a dusty piano and rotting in the corner of a dark room.

“a heart is not just an organ,” shuhei begins. “it's a concept and aspect that shapes and forms somebody into who they are.”

“is the heart the same as the mind?”

shuhei shakes his head. his fingers found their way to rest above your heart, right at your chest where he remains chaste with his touches.

“they are different. it's not just a small difference, a vast difference. the mind thinks and functions like a factory for the body. all while your heart feels and conveys emotions for the body. do you get me?”

it takes you quite some time to register his words. his hand remained on your chest, lightly touching it before you went closer to him and placed your ear on his chest.

badump, badump, badump.

his heart beats steadily, rapidly increasing when you neared. shuhei could only watch as you listened to his heartbeat. a few minutes of listening to the soft beating that gradually decreases in its speed, you look up at him with the eyes that he's so in love with.

“i want your heart.”

and your wish is his command.

a heart— the size of a fist, fresh from the body of shuhei hisagi with blood that drips down your fingers down to your arms as you hold the faintly beating organ.

face contorted into something you've never felt ever in your entire life— horror. and something more than just horror. it's these new feelings that swell and swirl in your soul. it was then you knew what a heart is, and what a heart can do to an individual.

an act of sacrificing his heart just for you to understand the human heart better. it was a perfect death, one way or another.
