bbs released a video that showed, very clearly, that ichiruki and masshin in EBTR are parallels of each other + released 686 ichigo and rukia gachas together and again, predictably, irtwt had a field day
the top image was me drawing a lieutenant’s badge onto the bbs gacha illustration by popular request + the second image is me memeing my happiness at the fact that losers with no reading comprehension can no longer say ‘ichihime are a masshin parallel’
Taking a quick breather from the rest of my current projects and interests to have Bleach feelings and thoughts.
More specifically about Hueco Mundo and the Arrancar.
Because the Arrancar are just...okay, they’re a pretty nice spread of interesting characters and antagonists to face. Other than the ones that are supposed to be the most obvious assholes, it’s interesting that we’re meant to sympathize with them in a way.
Even when they’re Hollows. Monsters. Cannibals.
There’s this really interesting situation of how the characters (and us) are only meant to even start seeing these Hollows as people because they’re human shaped and they’re human shaped only due to Aizen’s mad sciencing it up.
But it’s clear that they didn’t need Aizen to be actual people, they just owe him for thumbs and an existential stability that means they don’t have to keep hunting and hunting to continue being people.
It’s hard to find words for because a lot of words I want to throw at the situation don’t seem quite right. Or are too heavy, almost.
Like how there are apparently cites buried in the sand, from civilizations before Aizen ever arrived. Like how the only resources and clothes the Arrancar have are all for Aizen’s image. Like we have various examples of Hollows (like Harribel and Grimmjow) teaming up and cooperating with each other (protecting each other) before having their cooperation claimed to only exist because of the Hogyoku by traitor Shinigami.

The rain that has had a constant physical and metaphorical presence in this manga from literally the FIRST ARC to the FINAL BATTLE OF THE LAST ARC. The rain that is not just a thing that the fans are overanalysing, but has LITERAL POEMS about it and is CONSTANTLY REFERRED TO WITHIN THE TEXT. The rain that the MAIN CHARACTER makes CONSTANT ALLUSIONS to, the rain that is LITERALLY, WITHIN CANON DIALOGUE, directly compared to the main character’s depression and his main nemesis. The rain that links the central quartet (ichigo rukia uryuu orhime) AND their parents together. arguably THE thematic element that the entire series hinges on, along with the theme of protection.
Rain bullshit.

It’s bullshit how inoue orihime is the rain and ichigo’s depression is literally represented as the rain. it’s bullshit that kuchiki rukia stopped the rain and it’s drawn as one of the most satisfied, happy, content moments of ichigo’s goddamn life. it’s bullshit how the rain is always drawn at ichigo’s lowest moments and it’s particular bullshit how it ALWAYS CLEARS UP WHEN RUKIA ARRIVES. it’s really, truly, genuinely bullshit that after all this thematic significance, uryuu was shafted, orihime was trampled on, and ichiruki didn’t get to be canon. It’s bullshit! it truly is!!
anyway, all of that was the funny part. The offensive part is your refusal to read text.
