since there is a chance that blitzwing is going to be introduced properly into skybound (stasis body seen in issue 27) and in the answering letters section of issue 30 there is a question thats >> "-- If blitzwing gets revived can he have his 3 personalities from transformers: animated" with the answer being ; "I do love TFA… as is becoming clearer and clearer as my run progresses"

as much as i love plural characters (whether implied, headcanon, or canon) i do hope its handled with some sort of care. sure big massive alien robots so i do think the process is going to be a little different for developing a system.

main concerns is just how kirkman (and whoever else) is going to handle it. i hope it does not go down the path of horrible DID/OSDD stereotypes that are just outdated and generally horribly handled. i don't mind blitzwing being a system in other contintuies, i love representation. so its just the fear of how it would be handled.

and seeing how springer was introduced in void rivals, he didn't have multiple personalities due to being a triple changer so maybe it is different for skybound canon?

( doing it not anonymously because i can) fight me but G1 blitzwing IS underrated, even in art and fanfics, i feel like people always refer to TFA blitzwing, i do not have anything against TFA ver of him i love both equally but it just feels like people forget that he first appeared in G1 💔

Fandom has always made tf:a Blitzwing's personalities to be more separate (like, talking to eachother directly), as it's a more fun thing to do - that's a typical procedure, nice. So, I wonder if it also kinda affected the view of those who strongly headcanon him as plural/ sb with DID/OSSD. Because looking at the show itself and then at the recent fanmade reinterpretation is quite something, lol

So, how's the "overanalyzing a robot freely" gang doing these days? Haven't seen much recently yeah

Frankly, this is kinda a tidbit related to muh "why not make Cybertronians/Transformers more like their silly description? Giant alien robots". Sure, we can apply human things to them, of course, but what about delving into the alien + mechanical aspect more? It's weird how human they are sometimes made to be, and what's tied to what I just typed is that I really dislike sparklings, lol, or slightly raise an eyebrow at things like regeneration (until I remind myself of nanobots, though even they are hardly ever actually mentioned in the fics I know of), 'softer metal parts'.

As for the aforementioned Tf:A character. I scrolled through reddit recently, cleansed myself from tumblrina stuff a bit, and saw how frequently it was called a "gimmick", which actually... sounds, sounds? Since I feel like it's more accurate to consider his condition as something related to electronics/mechanics--well, it IS related to a heavy robot-exclusive modification. What else to add here: don't know, and why do that now

I love TFA Blitzwing but reading fanfic about him can be painful because of how people write out his accent. That's not necessary guys, we know what he sounds like, you don't have to spell it out phonetically.

saw someone submit a confession about tfa blitzwing so sure I'll go off. Tfa blitzwing is honestly my single favorite transformers character, but I honestly think he gets paid dirt by both the writers and the fandom and I'll admit a lot of my attachment to him is probably Stuff I Made Up In My Head.

Since he was introduced with decepticon high command in the first episode and appears in the intro, I assumed he was a fairly major character and driving force in the decepticon ranks, but I feel like the writers are uninterested in exploring him beyond "haha funny disability joke" and just see him as mostly rogues gallery filler. A lot of the more interesting facets of his character admittedly came from the allspark almanacs (and speaking of which, poor guy doesn't even get to be on the cover of the complete almanac in favor of convention exclusive characters)

He seems to be decently popular in the fandom with people who find his antics on the show entertaining, but all the fan content of him feels like either 2008 deviantart lolrandom humor or porn that just turns him into a generic yaoi top to be paired with bumblebee. I thought blitzbee was kinda fun at first, but now I'm sick of seeing it everywhere and wish people would explore different dynamics with either character. What about Blitzwing with Lugnut or Shockwave? Bumblebee and Bulkhead? (Side note I feel like the reason bulkbee isn't more popular is just fatphobia)

I know he's not the deepest character ever and has some problematic roots, but I really wanna see more fan content that really delves into Blitzwing as a character. He took down an omega sentinel before getting his upgrades? Tell me about that. How did he become one of Megatron's highest ranking Decepticons during the war? Is he dealing with trauma and resentment towards blackarachnia for making him what he is? How does he really feel about earth and humans - does he see them as completely worthless, or intriguing but ultimately just another conquest on the path of the decepticons? Guess I should get writing myself if I wanna see any of that
