The wild romantic cottage garden style is one of my absolute favorites and the Brits have cultivated it to perfection! Here the beautiful stone urns planted up with succulents bring in just the right amount of order and formality to juxtapose the happily scrambling plants in the round flower bed to their feet and the hedges and evergreens provide a calming background for the eye. I think, a perfect balance of the various elements is achieved here! How about you? Is the cottage garden style also speaking to your heart? Or do you prefer other garden styles? A row of three fairytale cottages! This is one of my favorite photos of English cottages that I have taken so far. The cottages are located at the High Street of a beautiful tiny village called Blockley, which is part of the famous Cotswolds, England. We had such an incredible good time renting a cottage in this village for one week and exploring the Cotswolds from there. Looking at the picture brings back all the wonderful memories!
