👀 and 💖 for darcyland/mcu??

👀 - from the MCU, a ship that i’m curious about is probably Carol Danvers/Maria Rambeau.  Or Carol/anyone, really.  Because I need more of Carol and her interesting life in mine.  For Darcyland?  Hmmm...I’ll be honest, I’m not much of a multishipper for Darcy, but I’m definitely curious about stories with wlw Darcy and some more of the female characters in the MCU.

💖 - for a ship that needs more love?  It’s probably super niche, and only half the characters are in the MCU as yet, but we need to give some more love to the SpideyTorch ship (Peter Parker/Johnny Storm).  These two dorks are great together in the comics, and there’s some amazing fic out there for the pairing too. (and look we all know I love me some Johnny but I don’t need to get into that...)

“Steve?” Darcy clung to him tightly. Her nose was pressed firmly into the crook of his neck, pulling him so close he could hardly hear her words.

“Yeah, sweetheart?”

“If you ever scare me like that again…”

He closed his eyes against the shakiness of her voice, suppressing a wince at the way her fingernails dug into his shoulder blades.

“Darce—”

“No, listen. You ever do that to me again, and there won’t be enough of you left for anyone to find. You hear me?” Steve didn’t dare point out the ridiculousness of her threatening to murder him for putting himself in life-threatening situations.

Smoothing his hands around her ribcage and down to the small of her back, he pressed her into his body. A soft kiss to her temple had his girlfriend’s body slowly relaxing, and he waited until her pulse was no longer beating a frantic rhythm to say, “I’m sorry I worried you. I love you.”

“I love you, too.” A pause, then, “Promise you’ll always come back to me, Steve.”

“I promise.”

It was a lie, but a comforting one. Her fingers spasmed against the cloth of his shirt, and she pulled him closer. Closer and closer, until there was no space between them. Until his face was buried in her hair and all he could feel and breathe was her. Until the world existed solely of them, here and now. Together, not torn apart.

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback, as you are probably aware it has been a (bloody) long time since I updated that fic (or any others) I am hoping to have an update soon, the next chapter is coming along - all be it very slowly. 

The story is mapped to the end and Reg does start to open up to Hermione - at least a tiny bit.... thank you again and have a lovely weekend!

Darcy plopped down on the stool in front of him and when Steve turned, he almost laughed aloud.  "Aren't you a little old for this?"  

She shrugged.  "You're never too old for face painting, Rogers.  Now, glitz me up good, I wanna be a fairy."  

When she'd gotten him to volunteer for this job, he'd been a little wary, but all of these inner city kids were really having a blast at the fall festival Tony had set up.  And apparently getting one's face painted by Captain America was super cool and really fun.  

Even if most of it involved having to be still, which as far as Steve could recall, wasn't something kids generally liked.  

He'd been ready to close up shop, most of the kids were on their way home and the clean up crews were starting.  

But when Darcy appeared in front of him, setting her Stark tablet and headset on the table beside him, he wanted to stay there for as long as she was.  And painting her face like a fairy certainly fulfilled that desire.

He wasn't really prepared for how intimate something as innocuous as face painting could be.  There was a lot of him having to cradle her face.  To stroke against her cheek.  To gaze into her eyes.  

Okay, so the last part wasn't really necessary, but it still happened.  A lot.  

"What kind of fairy are you, Darcy?" he asked, his hand hovering over the different paints.  

"Whatever kind you think I am, Steve."  

He wasn't sure if 'beautiful and funny' were fairy types, so he opted for lots of purple and lots of glitter.  She seemed to like both.

who you'd rather date: james buchanan barnes or john thornton?

WELL.

See, although John Thornton is more emotionally stable than Bucky, he is a Victorian industrialist with anti-union tendencies and probably the unfortunate habit of voting for the Liberals* (in today’s money, he’d be a neo-liberal). We would have a fundamental difference of opinion about how the world should work I don’t think I’d be able to get over it. Not even with a train station kiss of my very own.

So although Bucky might spend most of our time together on the run, I think we’d not end up coming to blows over political opinions?

*historic UK parliamentary party. Not liberal in the social sense as tends to be used in American politics, but literally the precursor to neo-liberalism. I think there’s a strong case JT would have been a Liberal rather than a Tory, especially in his position as a middle-class businessman, and given the views he espouses tend towards the laissez-faire. Tragically, he’d have been at the classical liberal end of things and probably abhorred the emerging Labour Party and the social reforms the Liberals instigated later in the Victorian period.

■ - Bedroom/house/living quarters headcanon for rebelcaptain! :)

As Cassian moves up through the ranks of the rebellion, he earns a bigger living space. The quarters are still small by most standards, but there’s enough room for a small dining area—a slab table that juts out of the wall at the push of a button—and a bed large enough for two.

“Are you going to sleep in the middle?” asks Jyn when she sees it. “You could spread out all your limbs and not fall off.”

"Oh,” says Cassian, taken aback. “I mean, I figured you’d be sleeping in it with me.”

“I meant on nights when I’m not here,” she clarifies. “When I’m in my quarters.”

“Well,” says Casian, figuring he might as well be honest. “I was figuring...maybe these could be your quarters.”

Jyn scrunches her lip, the way she does when she’s trying to force back a smile. “Huh. Well, there’s an idea.”

His hand finds hers.
