Decided to redraw part of my Tangled/Cyberchase piece from 2020. The dagger is floating just bc I couldn't decide who to draw holding it this time, lmao.

I think about this little interaction I made up too much. Making Motherboard the creator of the moon chip just adds a cherry on top of it all.

Some Blue Matt sketches mostly inspired by a discord RP between me and @sliding-into-space where a reformed but still Moon Chip Infused Matt helps a reformed Slider finally find his Pops.

They use this giant map device to find Coop's clues and occassionally Slider will look over Matt's shoulder at it. I find the idea of Sly becoming too comfortable around Matt and just hovering his head over his shoulder with spikes funny. Poor Mattie worries he'll accidentally stab the guy.

Thinking about my Blue Matt AU and I think I've come up with what the sun and moon chips are for.

I feel like canonically there's a cybersite with more than one moon or sun, but I'd have to research that on my own.

I'm thinking the sun and moon chips are what gives each cybersite its own sun and moon. There's no one sun shown in Cyberspace and moons are close reflective bodies and they're also never shown outside of a cybersite. The sun and moon chips contain powerful programs that ensure every site has their own. Some cybersites have more than one sun or moon.

Solaria used to have multiple suns that gave it its name. Each sun was weaker than a normal sun but together created a warm but diverse climate. Due to a virus, they lost all but one sun and became cold. This caused their dependence on the sunosphere, which is naturally more vulnerable since it can be literally plucked from where it sits and instantly cause change to the site.

Castleblanca has two moons, one of which is always full, making it hard to distinguish between a wolf-person and a werewolf. 🤭 Because a moon doesn't actually give off light only reflect it, their nights are only a bit brighter when both moons are full. They have one sun that's less bright than most suns, just enough that people like vampires can comfortably walk around.

The sun and moon chips are old and were created with a combination of tech and magic. Even if removed from where they once lay dormant, every site would keep its sun and moon(s) so long as the chips aren't destroyed.

Some of the most powerful magic there is are curses. So each chip has a curse on them that was never meant to be used or known of, only to power them.

Both chips have the power to destroy one another and are thought of to be the only way how.

The sun chip is cursed to take the power of whoever wills it and transfer it to another. This can save a life, power a site, even possibly cure motherboard at the expense of the user. It is believed that if someone from the Real World used the sun chip, they may be able to survive. Of course, it's never been tested.

The moon chip on the other hand more slowly takes the power of its host like a parasite and seemingly gives them power over Cyberspace itself. Its user can create sharp rock-like growths that also dampen any heavy sources of power nearby. Not people but things like ships, heavy machines. It's curse is to help its user destroy whatever they most want or slowly kill them before they can.

Matt survives far longer than anyone could have predicted while fused with the moon chip. It's unclear if this is because he's organic or strong-willed.

A host that once took the chip and decided against destroying their enemy instantly fell.

I'm thinking a possible creator of the moon chip being Zorgon, an evil wizard only seen in The Search for the Power Orb. The sun chip's creator may be motherboard.
