Salt Magic: Making BLUE SALT to Manifest and Protect Your Peace- a quickie cut/ summary of the link below
In the context of Salt Magick, Blue Salt is basically just salt colored in blue through organic or inorganic means, with the intention of creating a 'tool' against evil eye and protecting one's 'peace'.
If you have access to Persian Blue Salt, you may use that one, too. But if not, you may create your own. What matters most is to remember your intentions behind creating it.
Dyeing in Blue
Natural Pigments: The blue pigments may be derived from natural sources such as flowers and herbs. Some people use dried blue flowers by crushing them into powder.
Kitchen Ingredients: Berries (crushed), Tea (brewed into a strong concentrated amount) or Food Coloring.
Other Sources of Pigments: Ink, watercolor, oil paint, and pretty much any other types of paint (highly recommended for artists and those who work closely with creative crafts). Just be mindful that the salt's consistency and moisture will be affected depending on the type of paint you choose to use.
👉 You can mix more than one source of blue pigment to dye your salt.
Additional Ingredients --Not a must, but if you have the time, I highly recommend it.Feel free to throw in bits and bobs that bring you a sense of security and joy.
Flowers: You can add blue flowers for more color. Butterfly pea, hydrangeas, lavender, delphinium--you name it. Feel free to top the salt with non-blue flower petals, too.
Herbs: Oregano, rosemary, sage, basil... You can mix in more than one type of herb in your blue salt, if you'd like.
Essential oils: Essential oils make great addition to your Blue Salt if you choose to seal your jar with a permeable material, such as mesh cloth or gauze.
Crystals: You can mix in bits of your favorite crystals, or even excess crystals from old trinkets and broken bracelets. It's a plus if you use ones that are associated with peace and tranquility (such as amethyst, blue aventurine, sodalite, or turquoise).
Charms: If you are going to mix in other objects, it would be ideal to put in ones that are made of glass or plastic materials. Please be mindful that metals will rust overtime. And with salt as your main ingredient, the corrosion process will speed up.
Written Prayers or Sigils: Cut a piece of paper, write your intentions for calling in peace or washing away tumultuous energies. If you have a sigil or any guides you draw inner strength from, write their name or symbol in that small piece of paper, too. You can fold the paper and bury them in your blue salt.
Well, that's basically it. If you're interested in the different ways of sealing and storing your blue salt, and want a background quickie on common naturally "colored salts" (with mentions about the basic role of salt in spiritual and religious practices), the full article is just over here ☺️ :

So, how do you get photos of a place with 8′ fences, gates, etc? Easy! You find the one place where you can grab some photos from public property. Nothing’s more fun than a “sneak a peek”.
This place outside of Knoxville, Tennessee, is way cool!
Those are two yuuuuuuge mountains of salt. That’s just the very ends of the long mountains of the salt; they go on for probably hundreds of yards. They’re keeping it covered with that black membrane stuff so it’ll stay dry if it rains, mists, gets foggy, snows, or such. It’s the salt they put on the roads to melt the snow.
Check out the blue color of the second pile. The photo doesn’t do it justice; it’s beautiful! It reminds me of a mountain of cobalt blue glass. So why, you might ask, would they need blue salt? That took some research, but it turns out this place is out there on the cutting edge of salt technology.
It’s not that rare blue Persian salt (from Iran). It’s plain old regular salt with an added colorant.
Picture yourself working for the highway department on a snowy day. The roads are all clogged up with snow and you keep getting calls from folks complaining that the salt trucks have NOT been through their neighborhood yet and “by gawd” they need to get to work “raht naoh”. You tell them the trucks HAVE already been through there, and they tell you they’ve been watching and they “derned sure hadn’t”. So you be polite and tell them you’ll make sure their road gets salted (which you’re already sure of since you know it was done hours ago). And you know they’re going to call back later to holler at you some more.
Now, enter the Blue Salt. No more calls from those folks because the blue salt shows up all over their road, and they know they weren’t missed by the salt truck drivers. The blue color is non toxic, it doesn’t stain things, and it just goes away by itself when the snow melts. You use the blue salt in residential areas to keep the local folks happy; and white salt, which costs about $4 a ton less, out on the main highways.
Someone out there’s had a great idea with this stuff!
BTW, how do you transport the salt down the river if you don’t want it to get wet? You use a fully sealed, covered barge like the ones in the last photo.
