There are times when all I want to do is look out my window and stare at the stars. I love the stars. I love them all, every single one of them, each magnificent glowing speck on the night time blues, because they look small, but in reality they are so, so much bigger than we could ever comprehend, and to the stars we are even smaller. We're mere specks of dust, and they're these majestic flaming things, and looking at them fills me with this child-like wonder I haven't felt for anything else for so long. Looking at the stars makes me happy, and being happy is genuinely so hard for me sometimes. They fill me with such excitement and wonder and happiness and if I could look at the night sky for the rest of my days I would do it, I would do it without a second thought.
The Moon! The moon is gorgeous, and so many people don't really see that, because it's really just a huge chunk of rock that orbits the Earth, but it's gorgeous, not because of how it looks, but because of what it dies, and what it has done for us. Us Humans have always been connected to the moon, if you think about it. It filled us with curiosity and the ideas of possibilities that could be reality, and for our ancestors it was a way to know when the seasons were coming, the times, when to grow things, and so, so much more.
And the rest of the universe? Amazing! Black Holes, Quasars, Pulsars, Red Supergiants, Blue Supergiants, Neutron Stars, Supernovae, Nebulae, Galaxies, everything is so wonderful! I hope that in my lifetime we get to see the rest of space. Even the tiniest developments make me buzz, full of joy, because we're getting closer to really seeing what is, or who is out there! Maybe one day we'll get to see Aliens! I believe wholeheartedly that they are real, and you can't tell me otherwise, have you seen how humongous the observable universe is? The mere thought that nothing else is out there is somewhat ridiculous. There are things out there, things that we may never see.
But you know what? Even if I'm not alive to see it, I know others will be, and that alone makes me happy. Because maybe they'll see what I see in the vast expanses of the sky, of space, of the universe. Maybe they'll feel the joy that I feel.
And that's enough for me.
