My brother is 7 years my junior, and he told me the only thing he remembered about me growing up was that I had a pc set up surrounded by books, I was always readin, and that I was the smart one.

*eyes browser history full of fanfiction over the last near two decades*

It was the nicest thing he could have said. Ever. Of all time.

Me, and seeing my dog laying there waiting on me in the room without being asked: Oh, who's a good boy?!

Me, realizing he had gone into the room so he wouldn't get caught, seeing the cardboard in his mouth:

"D:< It's not you! You're not a good boy!"

Imagine being so dead-ass bitter about the way that a show ended, that you forget why fanfiction exits in the first place.

People out there just like... Say they fell in love with something and then just, stopped loving the characters? That's a thing?

I still have some favorites from well over a decade at this point. 😂

How sad is it...

...that although I'm super stoked Fruits Basket is getting remade, (and actually covering the full story instead of fucking it up like, three episodes in), I also just realized that this means there's going to be a boom in fanfiction, and I'm so excited because there was so little fanfiction for this series.

TL;DR Tfw you know the anime will be good, but you already looking forward to the fan fiction.
