My Blueland cleaning supplies will arrive tomorrow and I am excited. First because I did the math and I will actually be saving money yearly on certain cleaning supplies. And second because less plastic/giant bottles taking up all my tiny cupboard space.
Okay and we got most of the hand soap scents and I hope they smell nice and don't irritate my fragrance sensitivity(but if they do we can just go fragrance free, problem solved). Dunno what I'm doing with the lavender tablet though cause I can't do lavender and my sibling doesn't really like it either.
I'm hoping the cleaning solutions all work good but those were the only ones I couldn't find locally so fingers crossed. The toilet cleaner works good for us though, which is nice because I really didn't like the liquid stuff and for some reason the bleach tablets you chuck in the tank causes... fuzz. So our toilet gets a bath bomb that actually smells nice and doesn't give me a headache. Win win.
If I really like the ones I'm getting I might switch over to their powdered dish soap. It's not cheaper or more expensive than the stuff I buy now but it's a few less plastic jugs going to the landfill.
I know it'll be a learning curve but like, the use of less plastic aside; I really like reuse-able cleaning supplies because then I don't have to buy new stuff constantly. Our ancient ass house makes dust that's Built Different™️ so the cleaning costs have been catching up.
We decided not to try the laundry soap because our washer is from the 70's and I saw a lot of people say older washers didn't handle the soap well. Might try the oxy boost at some point though.
Now all I have to do is get my room mate to stop using so many paper towels 🤔
