Comments: I can always expect fics by bluepeony to be beautifully well-written, and this is no exception. The ballet aspect worked surprisingly well; the style and approach to dancing fitting and expanding on Remus and Sirius’ personalities. The part that really struck me, though, was the way everything felt restrained, or repressed, or maybe stifling, as we followed Remus’ point of view. It’s hard to explain; it’s almost as if the author grabs you by the heart and squeezes slowly, and then, suddenly, they let go. An astonishingly poetic piece.

Comments: Another classic fic, especially in the band!AU category, that I’ve somehow never gotten around to reccing properly. This one is long, but worth every word; it’s so well-developed and expertly paced. Remus is very anxious and awkward about a lot of things, and Sirius is lonely and impulsive and self-centered a lot, but they find themselves becoming friends when Remus comes on tour with him. There’s wonderful character and relationship development, and who doesn’t love a band!AU?
