Child with a concerned mom (she didn't want him picking up adult books): "Hey Mister(?) what's One Piece?" Me: ...Do you like pirates?

Child: Yeah!! Me, about to get a child invested in the longest anime series ever.

Layla is technically the first "gf" out of the two Ace gets. This is how their dad found out about the first (more or less).

Ace is also useful for Spanish practice:

"Quien es ese?" (Who is that?)

"Ella es mi novia nueva! Su nombre es Layla." (She's my new girlfriend! Her name is Layla.)

"Ella sabe... sobre la mafia? ...Y tu fuego?" (She knows... about the mafia? ...And your fire?) "Si! Ella es una extraterrestre tambien!" (Yeah! She's an alien too!)

"...Nice to meet you Layla."

"Nice to meet you too, sir."
