I love how each of the Thunderbolts approaches Bob differently during the final scene of the shame room. Yelena goes for a hug while he continues to attack, making sure he knows she's there. John latches onto Bob's arm, keeping Bob from further attacking himself, before he leans back in for the hug. Bucky covers both Yelena and Bob, mixing her and John's approaches. When Alexei goes to comfort Bob, he ends up hugging Yelena, too. Ava places herself right between Yelena and John.
★SUMMARY: A trip to the mall with the Thunderbolts that ended up with the usual argument of who'll go with Bob.
★WARNINGS: it's based on "i saw this and thought of you", fluff, first time writing for Bob.

“So, who's going with Bob tonight?” Yelena asked the group of the Thunderbolts while planting her hands on her hips.
The thunderbolts didn't even glance at Bob as she said this, they just exchanged a look he became familiar with by time.
“I want to go with Yelena,” Ava said.
“Well, obviously not me.” Said John. “I was with him the last time we went out.”
“What about Bucky?” Suggested Alexei. But when they all looked around at the same time, Bucky wasn't there with them. He disappeared into the thin air even though Bob can remember him being with them just a few moments ago.
“Ugh, that—” started John.
“Doesn't matter,” Yelena cut him with a wave of her hand. “We still haven't figured out who'll be with Bob today.”
They started arguing again like usual and Bob tried to cut them. “Um, guys?” Even though he let the words out it seems like no one heard him because they kept talking. “Guys? I-I think I'll be fine alone. I don't need—”
“No!” They all said at the same time, looking at him which made Bob want to shrink a little back.
“It's ok, fine, I'll do it.” Y/N particularly raised her hand up in the air while saying this, breaking her silence finally.
“Well, that's settled.” Ava clapped her hands together.
“Cool, don't forget guys, we meet at 8:30 at the food court!” Yelena reminded them one last time before all of the Thunderbolts walked away, everyone having their own destination.
“You,” Y/N linked her arm with his, tagging him along with her hurried steps. “Will come with me.”
“O-ok,” Bob said with a nod to his head.
“So, where do you want to go?”
“I, um,” Bob let his eyes roam around them, trying to decide where they would go. He didn't want to come to the mall at all, but all of the team members wanted to go and Bob couldn't say that he he didn't want to come along because that would mean someone has to stay behind with him in the tower for his “own safety”, the words he hears a lot from them. So here he is.
“Where do you want to go?” Bob offered.
“Hmm,” she looked like she was deep into her thoughts. “I don't think I want to go anywhere specific. Maybe we should just walk around?”
“That sounds nice.” He gave her a smile.
So the both of them just walked around the place, entering from this shop to that, stopping to see what catches their eyes, arms still linked together. They passed through a make-up store and saw through the glass Yelena and Ava who appeared in a kind of heated discussion about the thing Ava was holding and gesturing at it. Yelena, too, was pointing with her finger in an accusatory way to the thing (Y/N said it looks like a lipgloss but she isn't sure since they're very far) Ava holds then at something she was holding.
Y/N gave a chuckle at that then tugged Bob forward to walk away. They entered a clothing store but neither of them found something for their liking so they went to the next one, the animal store (they found Bucky there). Bob was watching Y/N tap the glass of some fishtank and give the fish a big, goofy smile while the lights in the tank reflected on her face from afar, giving her space and time to look at the animals as she likes.
He was seeing how happy she looked and how she kept tapping (but very gently, as if she didn't want to disturb the fish) on the tank when suddenly, the view of her became blocked and a woman stood in front of him.
“Excuse me, sir?” Said the foreign woman who was wearing an elegant suit. “Are you wearing any perfume right now?”
For some reason, Bob felt a little nervous and he unconsciously took a small step back. “What? Why—”
“This will only be a second, sir!” The woman cut him very enthusiastically, shrinking the space he made with that step. “See, we have this new perfume and it's called—”
He lost whatever was coming next from between her lips because he was thinking of a way to get out of this, a polite one that doesn't involve him running away like his body is telling him.
“I-I’m sorry,” Bob said hesitantly. “But I really need to go because—”
“But we have an offer! It's only for 25$ and—”
“Yeah, yeah. I heard that but—”
“I'm sure that this perfume would go well with you, sir. Let me just spray it so you can smell it.”
Oh no. Oh no, oh no, oh no, now he'll be stuck here and doesn't know how to brush this woman away. Maybe he should just buy it so she stops bothering him and he can be free once again.
Bob got his wallet out when the saleswoman was spraying a small paper with the perfume for him when he felt a firm tug at his elbow.
“Bob! What are you doing?” Y/N’s voice was very sharp. “Give me this.” She took his wallet away from his hands. “I'm sorry, ma'am, but we need to go. Thank you.” Then she started dragging (because she was literally doing that with heavy footsteps) Bob along with her, rescuing him.
“What were you doing, Bob?" She thrusted his wallet back to him again.
“I was j-just trying to buy what she was offering.” For some reason, he felt very guilty, like she caught him doing something more shameful. “I-I thought maybe she'll leave me alone if I did…” he trailed off, realizing the guilt he's feeling is because she probably was having fun with those fish but she had to get him away (it was more like rescue) from the saleswoman, taking care of him.
“I'm sorry…” Bob muttered to her, gaze on the floor.
He heard her let out a big sigh, then he felt fingers grabbing his chin delicately, raising it up. “C'mon, there's a craft shop that caught my eye before. Let's see it?”
Bob's face feels a little hotter than how it was before just seconds but he nodded his head, not trusting himself to talk at the moment.
The craft store had a lot of beautiful stuff that kept snagging his eyes away from the woman with him. There were small crafted things with so many lovely details here. There were t-shirts, candles, bath bombs, but what caught his gaze was a mug, and not any one, but a mug with a cute drawing of a sleeping red fox on it. Bob held the mug between his hands then he carefully traced the fox with his fingers, feeling amazed about how beautifully made this was.
“Hey!” He walked to Y/N who was looking at a vase with water painting on it. “Here,” Bob carefully offered with his hands the cup he found. “I saw this and it made me think of you.” He said to her with a shy smile on his face, feeling like he found a treasure.
But Y/N looked at the mug then to his face, then the mug again and finally her eyes looked at his face and stopped there. This made him think that maybe he had done something wrong, maybe she didn't like it and thought that he was stupid for thinking about her when he saw this mug, maybe she saw it was creepy.
“I-I'm sorry—” Bob stuttered, feeling like his face was on fire from embarrassment but she cut him.
“How did you know I love foxes?” She interjected his words.
“What?” Bob blinked.
She held up the cup and repeated her words. “How did you know I love foxes?”
“Um,” he fidgeted with his sleeves. “You seem to always look at pictures of them or watch some videos. So I figured out that maybe you like them—sorry if that was wrong.” he hurried to add. Stupid, stupid, stupid. He shouldn't have done that.
Y/N just raised her eyebrows at him which made him change his weight from one foot to another. “W-What?”
“So you noticed?” She asked him.
“Ah, yes?” He cleared his throat. “Yes—b-but it wasn't because I was watching you or, like, stalking you or something! You just tend to lay on the armrest of the couch and hold your phone and usually I'm literally right there behind you and your phone is literally is on my view so it's hard to look away or you know not notice that you mostly stop to look at pictures of them and—”
“Oh my God! Look at you!” She let out a laugh, holding her stomach. “You are babbling! Chill dude, I didn't think you were a creep or anything.”
“O-oh…” he trailed off, feeling embarrassed at himself for letting his mouth babble like that, face hot with shame.
“Hey,” she punched his arm playfully. “What's that face? I loved it, I'm going to keep this forever. It looks so cute.” She looked down at the cup she's holding, eyes softened and her voice became a little lower. “Thank you, Bob. This means a lot and it was really so sweet of you.”
“You're welcome.” he fidgeted with his sleeve, a shy smile decorating his lips. “I'm glad that you liked it.”
“Now, shall we go back to meet with the guys? It's nearly 8:30.”
“Yeah, you first.” Bob extended his hand, gesturing for her to go.
When they met with the team members again and she showed them the cup, Bob felt self-conscious and a little embarrassed, but upon seeing the big smile on her face and how much she seems to like this simple thing, it all vanished.

“Bob! Bob!!” Y/N shouted.
“Yes! I'm just grabbing the blankets!” Bob shouted back.
“C'mon, you're taking forever!” He heard her huff before she stood in front of him. “Let me help you—here.” She took the blankets from him. “Now, can we please already go? Or do you want to take another thing with you?”
Bob stopped for a moment to think, not wanting to forget anything. He already took the chairs, his winter clothes were on, she, too, is wearing hers. They decided (by “they”, it's actually him) to spend a few hours at the top of the tower so they can look at the stars tonight.
(Of course, his girlfriend rejected the idea at first because it's winter and it's the dead of the night and it was so cold already but Bob managed to convince her at the end, but not before she let out a dramatic big sigh before she said she agrees).
And oh! Cushions! They need cushions! Thank God he didn't forget them. (Nearly did though).
So with everything already set up there, he took the elevator to the top of the tower, finding Y/N who was pouring them some tea already there, sitting on her chair with a blanket on her lap while her breath formed a small white cloud in front of her.
“Cushions,” Bob said as a way of greeting and his girlfriend just nodded her head with a smile then gestured for him to sit on the chair near her.
She handed him a cup of hot tea and he wrapped both of his hands around it, bringing it closer to his face to feel the heat of it.
“Hello, handsome,” she said with a smirk and a mischievous glint in her eyes.
Bob's face suddenly feels hot, and it wasn't because the hot tea was near his face. “H-hey,”
“It really looks beautiful here,”
He looked up at the dark sky and found it decorated with glinting stars that kept winking at them. “Yeah,” he let his lips stretch into a smile. “It does.”
For long moments neither of them spoke another word and just sipped their tea. These moments didn't feel awkward because he had been with Y/N for a while now and he got used to everything related to her, so he knows that right now, she's just taking in the beautiful view, trying to observe it.
But even when her eyes were glued up to the sky she noticed him not bringing his cup to his lips. “Oh, want more tea?” She offered and he nodded his head. When she extended her hand for his cup, their fingers brushed slightly which made his skin prickles.
“You're warm,” Bob blurted, not meaning to voice his thoughts aloud.
“Hmm?” She asked him while refilling his cup.
“You fingers, they're warm.”
“Oh?” She looked at them for a second before shrugging. “I guess it's because of me holding the warm cup.”
“No,” he shook his head. “Your touch always felt warmer for some reason.” Slowly, he took his cup from hers and put it down, taking one of her hands into his. “Yes, very warm.”
“I didn't know that. No one really mentioned it—” but the rest of her sentence was lost in a sucked breath because he planted a kiss on the palm of her hand.
“Well, I'm mentioning it now.” Bob said slowly while planting another kiss, making sure to hold her gaze and not shy away like usual. “And I really love it.” He kept planting kisses until he reached her wrist. And despite the fact that there was not much light he can clearly see that he's making her blush just from her body language.
“I could look at you forever.” Murmured Bob to her. And it was true, even in this dark he's willing to just look at her face instead of those stars, because compared to her, stars are dull and boring.
“Creep,” she replied.
“Was that creepy?” He immediately let go of her hand. “I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to—”
“Just shut up Bob, I was joking, ok?”
His shoulders slumped back. “Oh. Ok.”
“Jeez, can we now get back to watching the stars?”
“I'd rather watch you,”
“Bob!”
“What? I was just telling the truth.”
He heard her huff. “Whatever, your tea is getting cold, I suggest you drink it.” Her tone was dismissive and her eyes went to gaze upward, but he knew that she was trying to hide how flustered she was.
Not minding that at all, Bob picked his cup again and took a sip from it, trying to hide his big smile.
Second time writing Bob, for time posting him! What a sweet man, I fell in love w him in thunderbolts.
