I wish my looks matched my personality :,(
gaining weight is such a god awful experience for me. i've lost a bunch of weight from when i was at my biggest (290 down to 250). but that was because i was sick. i literally couldn't eat. now i can and i can see myself already gaining back what i lost.
don't get me wrong i know being fat isn't a bad thing. in fact i'm doing a lot better with my body image than i used to. but i still can't help but feel like the saying "lipstick on a pig."
maybe one day i can finally feel completely okay with myself and my body. taking it day by day until then.
I really wonder sometimes if there’s still people left in the world who value personality over looks, or if that’s just a myth people tell themselves to feel better :;(∩´﹏`∩);:
Did anyone else start having body image issues in like first grade because same and also what the actual fuck
Body image issues fucking suck, and no matter how often we claim that women in their thirties no longer give a fuck about what others think, that’s just a steaming pile fucking bullshit.
I hate the way I look, and I hate that my body won’t let me fix things like I’ve been trying so hard to do for the last five years, and now it’s adding a goddamn skin condition to the whole mess, and I hate it.
What do you do
when you’re sitting in the kitchen
in the middle of the night
stomach growling
because you felt too guilty
to eat enough at dinner
and you know you should eat something
but your brain is telling you not to
and you know you’ll regret it tomorrow
and you know you’ll hate your body
even more than you do now?
What do you do
when your sister is the one
who started saying this stuff
about your body
about the things
you’ve tried so hard to change
but she says it’s all in the past
and she thinks you’re overreacting
but she has no idea
how much her words have affected you
even if they were in the past?
What do you do
when you’re the outside world’s idea
of perfectly fine
when you don’t hate your body
to the point where you feel
like you’re going crazy
but also don’t want to live
if you keep looking like this
because of a few words
from your sister
that are "all in the past?"
What can you even do?
tw: body image issues
I legit will when I feel too big wrap my stomach sometimes to the point where I can’t breath and just lay there hoping my body will reshape itself.
