Being 'happy' is a mindset that doesn't come easily to everyone. But just like our physical health, mental health is something we can work on, and should, work on every day 💫 Yesterday I took time to think about what I'm grateful for and one of them was the positive growth of my mental health. My mental health 5 years was completely different to how it is now and I am so grateful for that! It took me the realization that I needed help if I ever wanted to be 'happy'... I've made so many changes in these 5 years, some so difficult, but I'm glad I did it. Your mental health is so important, don't allow it to negatively affect your life. When you look in the mirror what do you see? For me, at first glance I see flaws and imperfections 😭. Many negative thoughts run through my head like, "I wish I could change my face" or "why can't my hips be smaller and my chest bigger"...and there are so many more! Why do we do this? It's easier said than done but we need to stop comparing ourselves to others. This is your body that God gave you! 💗You can't change your face or body shape (unless you get plastic surgery). But what you can do is eat healthy, exercise, look after your skin, cut your hair, and wear the confidence you deserve. The next time you look in the mirror, tell yourself "I AM BEAUTIFUL!" and watch how watch how you will start seeing yourself as the beautiful person that you are! Today I enjoyed a beautiful walk amongst nature with my sister and it was just so rejuvenating! Walking or any form of exercise amongst nature is far better than being in a gym in my opinion. But sometimes you can't always exercise outside, but just 2 a week will make the difference! 🌱☀️ It's been roughly 2 years since I cancelled my gym membership and honestly I don't think I'd go back. Being able to exercise at home and taking it outdoors has really helped me to not judge myself so much. Everyone is different, but if don't do some form exercise outside, try it out. Go for a walk or even play tennis outside this weekend - you will love it!
