"Is... is anyone there? Oingo? Where'd you go?" (boingos)
@boingos
ㅤ ㅤ A childish voice reverberated through the alley, drawing Reimi’s attention. The timbre was unfamiliar, but the tone said something — that child was afraid. She waited in silence, hoping to receive a little more information, and then a name was said. She didn’t know anyone named Oingo, such a different name would surely have marked her mind. Was he just a lost child? The alley was not a safe place, especially for someone who could be an easy target for Ghostly Hands. Determined to interfere before things went wrong, she gently asked Arnold to remain invisible, then take the path to the street.
ㅤ ㅤ A faint smile appeared on her face when she saw who it was. A small boy, frightened expression, the perfect image of fragility. It made her heart sink — Reimi loved children, her desire was to be able to hug and protect them from all the problems of the world. Just a utopian dream, but for that boy she could do something. ❝ There’s nobody here but me, I’m sorry. ❞ Her facial expression was an apology, friendly but careful. She still didn’t know why he could see her, maybe a Stand user, in which case attention should be doubled. The helpless appearance could hide an exaggerated urge to defend himself. Understandable, of course. More dangerous, not less.
ㅤ ㅤ Slowly she approached, testing the limits he would place between the two of them. The last thing she wanted was for him to run down the alley, a mistake that could be fatal. ❝ Who is Oingo? We can find him together, if you want. ❞ Bending slightly to reach his eye level, Reimi allowed him to get a good look at her. There was absolutely nothing scary about her appearance — as long as he didn’t see the scars on her back everything would be fine. ❝ My name is Reimi, what’s yours? ❞ Her smile widened, eyes shining affectionately. Poor little thing. He looked so scared now, the shock could be to much. It was necessary to win his sympathy first.

"H-hey um... what are you playing?"
That quiet voice had somewhat caught the man off guard, a final series of buttons prodded before he would finally glance back behind his chair and towards the very child, nobody else had managed to get a peep out of so far.
Well, perhaps it was the enticement of the bright colors and cartoonish music that had managed to make him rise above the hold of anxiety. A smile was flashed in assurance to the boy's doubts.
"I didn't hear you come down, Boingo -- You're quite the ninja."
He would keep his words lighthearted, very aware of the caution that riddled the younger Stand user. There was no need to frighten him off, not when they were allies for the same cause: it was odd to even apply him in the same category, although Lord DIO had undoubtedly made a couple other, even more so, unconventional choices for his arms.
"It's Super Mario Bros. It's a newer game I bought a couple of days ago."
He would shift back slightly, allowing room for the other's gaze the space to take in the full screen. D'Arby couldn't recall ever seeing the kid playing anything of the sort, each recollection he had painting the boy doing little more than hiding behind his brother. He would scoff inwardly at the irony of it, his free hand gesturing down to the controller in his grasp while he looked upon the boy's face again.
"Would you like to have a turn before you and your brother leave again?"
I officially love boingos more than snappis. Work the same but are way cuter. I'm glad I got Paige a couple closure-less diapers so I can practice using them before I have another baby. I'm sold on the boingos. I have 2 sets of boingos and 1 snappi. So far I've only needed 1 boingo to secure the diaper instead of 2, so I already have enough for Paige and baby #2. And one of the diapers I got Paige is so cute that I'm going to get a bunch of them for the next baby. They're made by a WAHM who has used the diaper for both her premie and her 4 year old so they'll definitely last and work for both babes from day 1. I'm very excited about this.
