If you're still doing the question game: 10 and 46?
As a matter of fact, I still am! And also WOW that’s a doozy of a first question! I likey.
So: how did each of my Lambs feel when their head rested on the executioners block?
For Hypnos (from SoTG), they were actually FORCED TO LIVE, within the poorly stitched together corpse of a lamb so. That’s fun. But to be fair to the ask, the immense pain of being forced to live frankestines monster style for YEARS was nothing compared to the emotional strain of failing to keep their promise of staying at Narinder’s side.
For Bonehorns, they felt immense betrayal. Their own family had locked them in a shed for ALMOST A YEAR. The fact that the gods they had worshipped said NOTHING in their defense, despite them being just as faithful as any other sheep did nothing for their depression.
I am not myself’s lamb was just… resigned. All the running, the sparse allies who risked their lives to try to protect them, the many lives they had taken to protect their own- it hadn’t been enough. All they could do now was grieve. Because no one else would grieve for them.
For Ramses (the Key to True Death), they felt an all consuming RAGE. They lashed out at everyone around them, and several of the bishops cultists were killed just trying to bring them to the chopping block- which the lamb tried to use as a jumping block to try to attack the bishops, chained hands be dammed.
The bishops even rushed the execution, just because Ramses was THAT dangerous. Unfortunately, killing the lamb only caused that rage to manifest in a decidedly more dangerous and tangible form….
NOW FAVORITE SEASONS! This one took a bit of thinking, but I think I have a few good ideas.
Hypnos likes winter, back when it was still a thing. It forced Narinder to be inside, where he was far less likely to run into his servants- meaning Hypnos could stick around for longer. Now that they live, though, they absolutely understand Narinder’s need to bury themselves under blankets- and relishes doing it themselves.
Bonehorns, eh… once, they liked spring, just as most other sheep in their cult had. Now? Now they’re trying to figure out what they like again, outside of the influence of the cult.
I am not myself’s Lamb likes fall. Not too cold, but everyone starts making soups.
(They often think with their gut)
The key to true death’s Ramses… isn’t sure. They never had time to “stop and smell the roses” in life, and in death they didn’t feel much of anything at all. It’s only recently, a couple of years after Narinder’s death, that they both have emotions and lack a depression smothering them.
That being said, they love the sounds spring rain makes on the temple roof… so long as they never have to go out there themselves.
