Teehee just a short fic because I made a new bone oc and I love her!
“Bone! Oh Bone!” A call cut through the conversation Fone Bone and Thorn were having. The former turning to face the new voice.
“Oh! H’lo Miz Possum. How are you today?” Fone Bone politely asked as Thorn also shuffled to turn towards their guest.
“Bah! I’m doing just fine! Now dear, y’know how you asked me to keep an eye out for your other cousin?” Miz Possum brought up the favour that Fone had asked of her when they first met.
“Did you find Smiley?” Fone Bone jolted forward, desperate for any info on his cousin. He had already met back up with Phoney and after a little convincing they were heading into town soon for the spring fair.
“Weeeeellll….” Miz Possum hesitated for a moment.
“I don’t think it’s who you’re looking for, but she seems to be looking for you.”
“She? Who on earth could it be?” Fone Bone questioned as he stood up and began helping Thorn from her seat, which she chuckled and playfully swatted his hands away.
Fone Bone and Thorn followed Miz Possum back to where this supposed visitor was waiting. As they entered the clearing of the Possum’s residence, an unusual looking Bone (at least to the Valley) was busy playing with the possum kids before glancing up and practically jumped from her seat as she almost seemed to be in shock that she actually found who she was looking for.
“Fone Bone! You are here!” Lora exclaimed, almost seeming like she was debating whether on keeping her cool or eagerly wanting to tackle the smaller Bone.
“Lora? Is that really you?” Fone Bone started. He was genuinely confused and to how and why she followed them out of Boneville, and to the Valley for that matter.
The size difference in question wasn’t as obvious as Fone was to Smiley. If anything, Lora was a bit taller than himself.
“Wh-what are you doing here?!? HOW did you get here!? Don’t tell me you were here all winter!” Fone started worrying.
“No no! I just got here!” Lora tried calming the smaller bone before sitting back down. The others followed her lead and made themselves comfy.
“After you guys left town and didn’t come back for a few months, I got really worried. At first I tried driving around Boneville to see if anyone’s heard from you guys yet, but no dice. So I gradually went further out of town and then the other day there was this sudden hoard of BUGS that completely covered my windshield and I lost control!
Then when it cleared, my car was totalled! I tried fixing it but I had NO idea what I was doing, so I eventually gave up and started looking for anybody that could help. Those mountains sure didn’t give my suitcase an easy time, but then I found my way to Miz Possum.” Lora huffed as she finished explaining her ordeal.
“Hee hee, I guess I’m a lucky omen for lost travellers!” Miz Possum joked as she gathered her kids who were getting a bit too rowdy for the conversation.
Fone Bone was a little touched knowing that someone in town actually cared about him and his cousins being gone for so long. Especially Lora out of anybody.
He paused before realizing he should be introducing someone.
“Oh! I should introduce you two! Lora this is Thorn! She and her Grandma are helping me and Phoney look for Smiley!” Lora lit up at the mention of Phoney’s safety but then shrunk down at Smiley’s absence. Fone Bone continued motioning between the two women as they exchanged greetings. After which he turned his attention back to Thorn.
“Lora is a friend of ours from back in Boneville. Although she spent more time with Smiley.” He leaned closer to Thorn to whisper that last part to which she nodded in response.
“Well now I don’t mean to be pushy, but me and the boys were going to head out so they can practice their gathering lessons. If everything is okay here, you should bring your friend to Grandma Ben and see if she can tag along with y’all.” Miz Possum suggested as she was smoothing out the fur on one of the kids, who was trying to wiggle out of her grasp.
“I’m sure Grandma will let you stay! Although I will give a fair warning, you might have a couple of chores to do.” Thorn stood up as she brushed her hands on her dress, said goodbye to Miz Possum and the boys, before starting to head back down the path. The two bones following her lead.
“Oh, uh sure thing! But I should give you my own fair warning, I might not be so good at them, I’m… not the best with housework...” Lora nervously laughed as she hung her head in embarrassment.
“I’m sure there’ll be something you’re good at, don’t worry about it. If you need any help just ask.” Fone Bone waved his hand in dismissal.
The trio began chatting as they made their way back to the farm. Fone only trailing behind to let the girls get a bit more acquainted.
Hello, dear! You've been visited by the random character question fairy! :D ~☆
Does your character have any personal enemies? Why are they enemies? Could your character and this person ever put their differences aside? Is that something your character would even want?
Bone actually has one personal enemy, and she goes by the name: Sweet'Dust. And their siblings.
These two used to be best siblings friends, until one night, Sweet'Dust had purposely killed One'Fire. One'Fire is Bone's cousin. Sweet'Dust thought she was doing the right thing but it turns out, she had only murdered One'Fire in cold blood.
Bone and Sweet'Dust had been enemies for many years, it got worse after Bone had Insanity with Darkness.
It is quite possible that they could put aside their differences for anything really. But mostly when it comes to desperate measures.
Bone would like to forget the past and try to be friends with her, but he isn't sure how he's gonna do so. As for Sweet'Dust, she just wants to help Bone, but in the wrong way without even knowing.
