Opossum bone scavenging process/timeline!

Ok so about a week ago I found a carcass in my backyard, after I found the skull I figured out that it was an opossum (probably)! Yesterday I picked out a few bones & today I collected most of the bones from the carcass & began the cleaning process. Here are some pics of my find:

Does anyone know the animal remains laws in Canada? Google isn't being helpful.

Wait I just say your post about bone hunting and that genuinely sounds so cool but I have no idea what that is-

well it's not grave robbing if the bodies aren't buried! it's basically just scavenging, like a vulture. You just, search for bones. It's that simple. Usually animal bones. But I think it requires some knowledge of where animals die and stuff like that. I've never actually been bone hunting, but I've been interested in it for a while, and my friend and I decided to try it. I still need to find a good location for searching tho.

Quick question for anyone who's able to answer: what are the best places to look for bones in Minneapolis?

Me and my friend are planning on going bone hunting sometime soon, does anyone have suggestions on where to go (that doesn't cost money to enter?)
