Also forgot to post Miriam’s updated ref, so just gonna put them both here lol.

Miriam’s changes are minor, mainly giving her a more built/strong bodytype and making her jacket more stylish hair coloring more obvious. I liked the blue, but I think the orange is just easier to see overall.

Bonegrease just needed less color since he's homeless as fuckkkk and was also in the underworld LOL. Really all I did was change his shirt color lol.

It’s Halloween month, so time to put down the robutts and go back to my roots of nasty gross men who are 100% dead and 100% menace.

Not much changed about his design, but I am happier with my shape language. Plus, i think the boots being haphazardly tied around his legs is a funny detail. Now he looks like a train hopper vagrant and that’s exactly what he deserves.

I heard back from my friend that i commissioned the title art for and I’m officially working on the website, just to get it out of the way!

I have up to chapter four drafted out and I’m… man, this feels real and fun and Im so excited!!

Miriam’s design has been updated less, but her story has been so here ya go:

Height: 5’9

Age: 20-21

Nationality: American (black-hispanic)

Miriam has a complicated and dark past that she is less than eager to share. In fact, sharing anything at all tends to be extremely difficult for her. Vulnerability in any shape is unwelcome and she doesn’t like to allow herself to feel things beyond mild amusement, anger and apathy.

That being said, her circle is small but she is fiercely loyal to them. She’s extremely self sacrificing for them and while they try hard to get her to be a little more selfish/self preserving, she’s hard to change.

When things go horribly, horribly wrong on her 21st birthday, she’s forced to face the facts that she needs help to take on this new threat to her friends and even the world. Tossed into the underworld, she is helpless, friendless, and desperate to get back and save her friends.

It’s a damn shame she has to trust Bonegrease, the sleazy ghost haunting the other side for a sucker to make a deal with. And this is the one time she can’t refuse.

Updated description and reference for Bonegrease. He’s gotten a lot of development for like… what, 6-7 months since conception?

Height: 6’1

Age: Over 800 years

Nationality: European (won’t say where)

Bonegrease is a ghost and has been stuck in the underworld, unwilling or unable to move on, for 800 years. He’s desperate for a way out.

He’s smarmy, smug and overconfident in that truly infuriating way, especially when he makes a deal. He’s seemingly straightforward with them, but with his demeanor, you have to wonder if there are catches or fine print he hasn’t made you aware of.

It’s part of the reason no one trusts or likes him.

When he gets to know you, though… he might just develop a genuinely tender spot for you.

He seems to think Miriam will develop fond feelings for him and is willing to risk it all in a genuine attempt to convince her to marry him. It is the easiest way to escape the underworld, after all….
