I wonder if John understands how the houses treat their colony planets in this utopia he claims to have created parallels the way that the rich and government treated him and the other first Lyctors when they were discovering necromancy. Does he know? Does he not see it or does he not care? Is he a hypocrite or has he deluded himself?

If true it’s a little bittersweet. I like Nona. She’s charming. But I think I’m still more attached to Gideon and Harrow’s dynamic as separate people more.

Ok so Nona is Gideon with amnesia in Harrows body. Reasons I think this
She talks about sex without getting consitpated
Fundamentally does not want to learn things that are uninteresting to her
Gold eyes
Genuine yearning for family and love
I actually could see this being the person Gideon became if she was raised with love and not abuse
The narrative is always from Gideon’s perspective in some way
Harrow decided to take a nap at the end of HtN
I’m not entirely convinced though. Maybe Nona is a fused personality of both of them. Maybe she’s a ghost that’s also jumped in the body. Maybe she’s one of the dead children that powered Harrows necromancy battery. Idk
So we have Nona, who I can only assume based on the John 20:8 dream (?) is Harrow
And Camilla and Phyrra (how is she alive) are trying to hide Nona
Who I’m guessing is Harrow’s body at least? Why else would they want her to look non harrow like?
I could be just so incredibly wrong about this. But if not Harrow with amnesia then why give us this amnesiac character?
Also I’m not stupid. Despite what you would think about me not getting the Ortus and Gideon thing. I see Nona and Nonaguessimus
