“Well shit, y’all need blood? I gotchu covered.”
-Finally, he has a chance to do some real damage now that he’s not focused on dodging and weaving. He’ll put everything he can into this attack. Every ounce of strength, every bit of force that the Gates can offer, and then some.-
-The Pharaoh, likewise, readies the Dendera Light Bulb, while also just choosing to hurtle the whole god damned Ramesseum toward the enemy. Because as devastating as the complex’s laser light show can be in that it has absolutely leveled entire cities, there’s something satisfying about millions of tons of stone smashing into something at mach speeds.-
-Kiara continues investigating internally. In a variety of senses of that phrase. But she does genuinely try to reach out to his heart, to try and see what can be put back together, if anything -- to see if there’s anything that can be salvaged here, no matter how small.-
-Even if not, she’s done a good job so far. Then...-

(A cynical part of her insists he was just saying what she wanted to hear. It meant nothing, his words were as hollow as that other self that must be loose in his former stomping grounds. That shade said as much.)
(...Well, it just doesn’t matter! The shadow said that, and now it’s dead. She’ll give it new meaning. Now, where is that Bird Wizard hiding? She’s looking for trouble and if she cannot find it, she will create it.)

“Thank goodness I’m not that popular enough to get those weird greyfaces.”
~~CAMELOT BEGINS~~
As promised, it is a little bit past sundown once the Rayshift is complete. And the surroundings seem peaceful enough: a wide-open rolling field, with sparse trees and a few signs of civilization - dirt roads, cut tree stumps, the occasional broken wagon wheel left to rot on the side of the road. No enemies in sight or in sensory perception. It’s about as safe a location as one could hope for.
To the far west, there’s a glimmer on the horizon, likely the last rays of the sun reaching over the end of the world: it silhouettes a great fortress, behind whose walls there rises a castle that could give the Tower of Babel a run for its money. And to the far east, there’s a different kind of glimmer - bright lights glimmering like the stars in the sky, but artificially. Not the glow of torches or lanterns, but something clearly indicative of electricity. An odd mix of opposing technological levels.
With a little effort, the Crystal Exarch erects a miniature version of his Crystal Tower, big enough to provide both physical and magical shelter, as well as an escape from the nippy breeze of late autumn in Britain’s cool, damp climate.
It is quiet.
Do you see that, Truck?
That.
Would cause the King of Heroes to have an aneurysm.
