Pembroke and the Algonquin
3 days of rest and relaxation in northern Ontario taking in the lakes and forests of the Algonquin. We did travel over to North Bay on lake Nipissing and went via the Dragoons base at Petawawa but mainly this was about sitting next to a lake reading and knitting and enjoying the peace and quiet and sunshine. Although it is school holidays there are so many lakes and parks that none are really busy and we had a lovely couple of days doing very little. I did get to swim in beautiful clear, warm shallow water at Bonnechere Provincial park and that made me very happy!
