i just want to say that max referring to himself as "already a bonus dad" made me respect him even more. like

this kind of comment is so so important when you're the first child of the family and your step dad is like "I already have a kid what u talking about" so yeah love him a little bit more for this

For having never used JCPenny portraits outside of when I was a child and it was the only place my mom would take us; back then she had connections between my aunt and her friend who both worked at our local studio at the time. To be honest, after the total I saw before I received my Groupon discount, I don’t blame her for having connections to get deals on family photos. Shit’s EXPENSIVE!

This is what I got Jason, my mother’s boyfriend. I wasn’t really sure what kind of card to get him because he’s not technically a step dad, and I don’t even really know what to call him. But I wanted to get him something. I got him an engraved whiskey glass. He loves thinking he’s some kind of bartender. He has a “bar” at their apartment, and so I got a whiskey glass that says bonus dad with mine, my brothers, and his former step child’s name and birthdays on it.

This is what I got Jason’s dad. We call him Pops. Since the day I met him back in August, he’s called me his granddaughter. And he’s treated me like it. It was weird to me that people were immediately that nice and claiming family like that. But it was realt sweet. And I found this mug, and I thought it was perfect. I also got extremely lucky to find a card that said Pop on it, and it went great with his present too.

So these gifts are also reasons I’m excited for Father’s Day. Jason will probably tear up or get emotional, Pops will probably act all loud and excited. So I guess we’ll see.

so i saw my therapist yesterday and she was trying to get me to do something for my birthday today even if it was something small and i just really didn’t want to because i went to the zoo as a celebration with my mom and bonus dad already and im gonna hopefully hang out with my friends this weekend as well as a belated birthday present from my dad next month so i was just really refusing then she talked me into getting a personal cake and some ice cream so thats what ive got going on today
