Getting really into telling guys that if the gods send them into my hands not one of their lives will be spared
“Lord Veltras. It is an honor. But I believe we have been in proximity recently. My sister and I were close enough to you, but we did not meet.”
Tyrion’s eyebrows rose slightly.
“Indeed. Where was this?”
“Ylawes—”
Yitton received an elbow in the chest from his wife. Ylawes glanced up.
“The Walls of Liscor, I believe. I was in a fine position to see the trebuchets firing upon us. I blocked one of the shots myself.”
“Ah. You were…there?”
“With a number of innocent civilians. Sir. I look forwards to tendering my greetings to Emperor Godart. Forgive me—I have just lost a friend I held in great esteem. So my words are slightly blunt.”
~ Ylawes to Tyrion, Solstice (Pt. 1)
Hera: "let us go and fight for Achilles."
Poseidon: "Nah sis, you know we're the A-team, let our nephews and nieces have their fun for a bit, we're so good, we should wait it out a little."
This is the only thing that i will say about Lucio/Lucio Stans
It is not wrong to like a villain, i love a many villains in different fandoms.
What isn’t ok is to pretend that Lucio is “an angel that did no wrong” cause that’s just down right ludicrous.
What’s also not ok is bashing the devs for the story THEY created. THEY. THEIR story (high key if you guys thought you could’ve done better writing please send them ur application and do their job for them, otherwise...no).
And yes i will admit that in some routes his demise was, well, brutal. However, he is the villain in all these routes, therefore he got treated as a villain (last time i checked villains don’t always get happy endings). And if when he does get a route and the devs decide to do a redemption route for him then go ahead, why?, because that’s HIS route. Lucios route where HE is the main character.
And yes, i thoroughly agree that Lucio’s childhood/upbringing wasn’t the best or the healthiest it DOES NOT give him a free pass to be the horrible human being he was/is in these routes. There have been so many people that i know who have gone through hell and back in their lifetime who have grown from it and have overcome it and are amazing people that DID NOT LET THEIR PAST DEFINE WHO THEY WERE AS A PERSON (but also we’re talking about a fictional being so it ain’t that deep either but you guys get my point hopefully).
In conclusion, Lucio got treated like a villain because in these routes he is the villain who,for these routes, deserved what had coming to him (albeit he had some very gruesome ends in some routes *cough*Asra*cough*). Because no sane person would: purposefully infect someone with a lethal desease by no consent from the infectee violating his basic human rights, would take parents away from a child to be left alone to fend for themselves, or make some one fight and kill for them for the purposes of the others entertainment treating the person who’s doing all this lesser than an animal.
So again i say, if you stan Lucio, go off, do you, and when he gets a route (because he will get one) celebrate, scream it from the roof tops, let him be the main character that may get some redemption and will shine some light into why he has chosen to let this past of his brand him in such a way. But until then, don’t forget that in the routes where he isn’t the main character and plays opposite of them he is THE villain of that story who has horrendous flaws that make him such a good villain.
My momma always told me be what you wanna be but be a good one. So, whith that logic, the devs sought out to make a villain for these routes, USUALLY when villains are well written and portrayed you will hate the villain not the actor playing the villain. If people are hating on Lucio, that means the devs did a good job in writing a good villain. Thank you for coming to my TEDTalk.
Valerius, don't be like that...
Don't suck up, this is so out of character for you...
Ah, there we go. You almost gave me a heart attack.
