A Dandelion inspired look for Mardi Gras
My love for Jaskier gets stronger everyday. 💜
This isn’t even the complete look but I borrowed some stuff from work for a Book!Dandelion costume for Halloween
I think one of the many things that will be lost in the Witcher adaptation (which I really like, its not a criticism) is how much of Jaskier's character growth happens because of guilt. In the show he is generally braver I think? Or less self-interested, so much that he helps the elves flee. But in the books, it is often shown how cowardly and selfish he is. And that's why it's very meaningful when he goes to Brokilon, where he knows there is a big chance the dryads will shoot him without asking questions, just to see if Geralt is recovered - and then refuses to part from him on many dangerous adventures that Geralt's hanza goes through, even though everyone expects of him to leave - and Geralt even tries to makes him leave by being meaner than ever. And why does Jaskier do this? Because he ran when Geralt told him to on Thanedd. Why wouldn't he - he is no use in a fight. But then Geralt almost dies and Jaskier wasn't there. So he refuses to separate from him later. Idk I just think there is something beautifully tragic in this.
Geralt: *dies*
Jaskier: Timer starts now! When is he coming back? I say two months!
Cahir: Bullshit. One month.
Milva: Nah, half a month.
Angoulême, sobbing: WHAT ARE YOU DOING? GERALT JUST DIED!
Regis, scratching chin in thought: One week.
